Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 116: Who's to blame for the lack of a new thread this morning?

I'm no longer a drain on the economy. I'm now a contracted, full-time employee of NBC-Universal.

Thanks to everyone for crossing your fingers for me the last two weeks. Your eventual claw-like hands will not have gone for naught.
Yay!! Congrats!

Then had a few interesting clients. One was a lady that was 32 weeks along, and was my first preggers client. Its a condition that as a massage therapist we got to be careful with, as well, having an alien parasite growing, feeding, and kicking at your insides is downright uncomfortable.
Ya think? :D Of course, the discomfort is all worth it in the end!

Morning, Lodge. Got my first Anatomy & Physiology exam back.108 out of 100. Guess those hours and flash-cards helped. :o Planning to keep the same strategy for the rest of the summer. Got an A- in Microbiology last month. :)

Spoke with my housemate today. She said that she's been living in her apt for 6 years and only had a lease for 1 year! She said 1month notice should be fine. Good thing since I already sent boxes and furniture up with tcbg yesterday!
Congratulations on the good grades! Good to see your hard work paying off.

Good morning from Denver, where we're undergoing a one day diversion from summer weather, as it will be in the low 60s with showers on and off all day. Denver doesn't get much of this kind of weather in mid-summer. :)

it's going to be great for running later today. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 116: Who's to blame for the lack of a new thread this mornin

Goldy - I have a year off (gap year) before I start any work on a Masters degree. My applications to school are due at the end of this month. The work I've been doing since January are post-baccalaureate requirements that need to be fulfilled before I can even apply to school. This course (which ends next Thursday) and the subsequent one (which ends August 5th) are the final 2 requirements that I have to complete. During the gap-year I'll be living with tcbg. Once school acceptances come in (fingers, toes, eyes, legs crossed that they do), we'll go from there. It will also more than cut my rent in half.

I don't think I have ever seen a day that I'd consider great for running.

Runners' weather for sure. Wear a baseball cap to keep the rain out of your eyes and you're in business. :)

Actually I found that it has a tear (tear as in "rip", not as in "crying"), so I'm sucking it up and going on with a torn contact until I can get home and replace it after work.

edit: Why are you awake at this hour?

I go to sleep anywhere from 9:30-11ish, depending on the day.

Actually, it's more like giving 108%. :p

Wait..what? Are you moving to NH now? After all the effort to get a place on the beach and get accepted to all these Boston schools?
tCBG >> the beach :D

Depends on what's chasing you.
"Do you still run?"
"Only when chased."

That's impressive. There are some dedicated runners who train there. Running the stairs in the amphitheater is a real test. I suggest a round or two of drinks at the Old Morrison Inn after your session.;)

what Quiz and I usually do is run every row, followed by sprinting up the stairs. It's fun and challenging. :)

We need to find a topic that will simultaneously attract hokydad, bwk, JSR, startthebus, Union Hockey Maniac and drunk hockey guy, just to see if the board asplodes. Plus it would be fun to poke them all with a stick and see who allies with who. It would be a social experiment.

I like the cut of your jib.
This needs to happen.

For the record:

bwk's Vuvuzela will unite the rest of the area clowns.

Howdy Lodge.

Congrats to those Lodge members who have earned congratulations.

Is it weekend yet? I've got post vacation work sucks syndrome, which is even worse to suffer from during shut down. It's hot, there's very little happening, and only about half the salaried people are here (none of the Union workers are here).
