Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 115: What sports do you watch in the off-season?

Atleast you will be able to make one of them, I'm not sure how much PTO I will have saved up by then because using 2 days worth on Winter Carnival is going to be a killer

I don't have vacation until next May. Taking 2 days off will be worth it. If I can afford to take another 2 that would be better.

I accrue PTO at 1.54 hours a week for my 1st year which comes out to 10 days so Im going to have to manage it wisely

If I had to choose, I'd choose the F4. For real.

I have been to the F4 before. I don't remember it to much, but the photos show that I was there. I really want to be up there for the F4. I am considering going to the regionals in Green Bay as well. There is a lot of money that I have to save up for those trips, plus the Green Bay weekend I have Mr. wore Black. All other trips I will be going solo.

That's why I love our company's vacation policy. It works out nicely for long-term vets. I'll have 9 years in as of Labor Day, and I'll get 23 days of vacation. After 10 years, I think it jumps to about 28-29 days, if my math is right.

For 1 year, it's about a week, I think. 2 years is about 2 weeks. 3-5 it's about 3 weeks, and 5-9 it's 4+.

About Im like a half hour-45 min north of green bay in peshtigo now cause thats where im going to be working

Fail! Just kidding, good for you. I hope to not be living in Racine by New Year's, but it depends on if my husband and I move and if I do get a new car. If we do move, it will be around the SW Milwaukee burbs.

Watch out for those parking garages.

Too soon?

Holy crap is that poor PTO accrual.

I think my 1st yr at my company was 16-17 days. After 3 years I was/am up to 20 days. I just had my 4th yr anny., not sure that I get an increase again until 5 or 6.

Although we don't split up PTO/Sick time. So if your company does that, it would make a bit more sense.

We split it until this year. Last year, I had 3 weeks vac, and 5 days sick time (although if you were sick 2 consecutive days, you had to have a doc's note, and if you were sick 2 separate days within 3 month period, you were put on Step 1, and 3 steps you're fired. Yeah, that makes a LOT of sense).

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 115: What sports do you watch in the off-season?

Years 1-3: 13 days annual / 13 days sick
Years 4-14: 20 days annual / 13 days sick
Year 15 on: 26 days annual / 13 days sick

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 115: What sports do you watch in the off-season?

I accrue at 3.08 every two weeks - use it or lose it. We can also buy another week of vacation and accrue 1.85 of sick time every two weeks. However, if I need/want a day off, like next Wednesday, I'd be SOL. We have to plan out our time off requests at least 30 days out. For hockey trips and such, that's fine, but for everyday living, it sucks ***.
