Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 115: What sports do you watch in the off-season?
It's better than what happened last year when UNH played at Minnesota. RockTheWhitt and his parents were sitting in the second row of the visitors' section, when a couple came over and informed them that they had those tickets. After some discussion, it was determined that both RTW's parents and this new couple did, in fact, have tickets in that section, in that row, and in those exact seats...for the previous night.
So, not only did they not read the date on their tickets, but the ticket takers didn't either!
Here at the SOx game with dad. Gorgeous night for a game. Dice K pitching like crap. Not the reason for this post.
So, we have seats 5 and 6. When I get to the seats, a lovely older couple is sitting in seats 7 and 8, I can tell from listening to them it's their first trip.to Fenway. Anyway, top of the first, this couple comes into the row. When in front of/passing by me the guy says to the couple "we have 7 and 8 but we'll sit in your seats 9 and 10." Instead of immediately them "No, we have 7 and 8" the husband says to the wife "don't we have 7 and 8?" She pulls out the tickets and I glance over and see that they do.
I wanted to nicely tell them to tell that other couple they were incorrect because when the people who actually have seats 9 and 10 show up, they will be standing in front of me and my dad while it gets straightened out.
Sure enough, the people with 9 and 10 show up, get stuck in front of me and my dad while the conversation takes place to figure out where that second couple is actually supposed to sit. Turns out they were supposed to be in seats 7 and 8 in row 3. We're in row 4. Thankfully all this happened between innings and not while the game was going on. Why can't people read the row and section numbers that are pretty clearly marked???
