Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 115: What sports do you watch in the off-season?

I got one of the jobs!!! :D

It's only 25-30 hours a week to start, but they're supposedly close to signing some big clients and it could be full time by the end of the year.

Yay. Good for you!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! silly saturday is here.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 115: What sports do you watch in the off-season?

sweet. We're setting up a boxing ring in the tailgate parking lot. I still call dibs on either being the referee or the Teddy Atlas of the fight. GLM is obviously doing ringside announcing.

I wasn't talking about putting money on ewe in that fashion. I was talking about literally placing money on ewe. :D

Good morning tLodge!

Can I go back to bed now? The dogs would not let me sleep in this morning. They woke me up at 7 to go out, 8 to come back in, 9 to go out again. Every time, I'd just be getting back asleep when they woke me up again. Yes, I know it's just going to get worse when the baby is born, which is why I am trying to get enough sleep now. (that, and if I don't get enough sleep the baby is going to be born that much quicker!)

Yeah, I've figured out the pale ales are really hit or miss for me. There's rarely an inbetween. Stouts, porters, wheats, almost guaranteed I'll like. The fruity beers (the ones with allegedly "hints" of [insert fruit]) are also hit or miss. I don't mind a hint of it, but sometimes their hint is my "holy crap, is this wine?????"
Like the Sam Adams Cherry, it tasted like cough syrup to me. blech.

Another sizzler on tap for Denver today with temps expected to creep into the mid 90s after hitting 100 in our neighborhood yesterday. It will definitely be a margarita day once happy hour arrives. :)

let's throw pennies at her and make her dance. :D
Oh come on, she's not that cheap. Besides, Quarters would make her move around a little more lively, they would hurt more. ;) :D
I don't think the family would appreciate me showing up to my cousin's wedding all buzzed up. :p

How about after the wedding??? ;) :D

You know, I'm thinking there's a couple of posters on here that do not like this idea.

So this leads to an obvious next question.

Did anyone ask about their benefits such as time off rules before they took their job? Or was that not an important factor?
Yup - At all my jobs, I've asked. If not during the interview, then during the offer phase. Usually places are pretty upfront though.
I think you guys have it all right going out in Minnesota land.... seems like a bigger easy going mid-sized town. Either that or all of you are that laid back.
This is why I liked Minneapolis the two times I was out there.

I could totally take BPH in a boxing match/wrestling match. :p

This works on so many levels.
Jerks.

I have experience with USCHO-ers and quarters. Let's just say, I won't be making that mistake again.

Back at work from 1-4:30 today. :o But I'm in a good mood because I had the silliest dream last night: I dreamt I filmed a Lindt truffle commercial with Whitney and DiPietro. Hilarity ensued. ... (hilarity =! sexiness, I literally meaning throwing truffles at each other and giggling.)

Oh come on, Quarters are worth 25 times more than Pennies. ;)

alright, it's settled. We're building a boxing ring at the FF. GLM and I are the announcers, Brent's the ref, and Legal gets to be the chick that walks around the ring with the next round card. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 115: What sports do you watch in the off-season?

I'm working today too. The guy who usually has the weekend shift is off today and tomorrow, so I took today and my supervisor took tomorrow. Which is goo as the only thing I hate more than working a Saturday is working on a Sunday.

Wow, I am sure a shrink would have field day with that dream. Gotta wonder, what is the significance of throwing good chocolate at your bf's favorite BU player and DiPietro? :p

Ugh - I would hate to work on Sunday. I'm relieved they didn't ask me to come in.

I'm starting "Dead Like Me" on hulu since I can't watch the game (though I'm DVR-ing it to flip through later).

You don't want to watch right now anyway. We look like steamed **** on burnt rice.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 115: What sports do you watch in the off-season?

Back from bike riding. It's hot. I think that I will only go on a short ride tomorrow.

DiPietro is one of my favorite former BU players, too. Didn't like him much when he was with BU, nor his first few years in pros, either. I started to like him right around the time he signed that 15-year contract...
