So in other news, I bought this a few months back.

I tell you what, playing a fretless is a lot of fun, but it sure does keep your playing honest. And I can make such strange noises with it!


But when I can somehow afford to spend $15,000 on a bass, one of these would work. Or anything from Ritter.

It was the better looking one, at least in my opinion she is. The same one that I went out with last thursday and watched the movie with last night.

Worried, yes. Remember there is a bf here, that gets messy and I'm not up for another soap opera right now. Which is why I'm doing nothing about this for the time being, just being my normal, charming self.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! terrible tuesday is here.

Lil's promotion ceremony (what other PC way can they say this shiz) from 8th grade is today. Day starts out well. Bus blew by his bus stop. Mr is not a happy man. He is the taxi.

Good Morning, Lodge!

My car is going into the shop today to get the electrical system checked and a few other minor items to be checked. I also asked them when they check it over to see if it is worth repairing anymore. I drive 40+ miles on it a day which is quadruple of what it used to be. Not just in the past 10 months, I am talking about the last 2-3 years. It doesn't feel safe.

"Hemp Fest" was a rename itself, as "Legalize Pot Fest" didn't go over well. I guess they finally realized that "Hemp Fest" isn't actually any more subtle than that. "Freedom Rally" will probably draw a few more casual onlookers, and should allow more people to openly support the cause.

No offense to bb_dl, but I'm going to go with "not". Sounds more like a roommate trying to be friendly with the person she's living with for a few months. (It does tend to make things easier.)

In relation to a conversation from earlier in the thread, it reminds me of one of my favorite stories from the Waters/Gilmour feud. Waters was giving Gilmour crap about the later Pink Floyd albums, and how they used a lot of studio musicians, his point being that Gilmour wasn't a good enough musician to do some of it on his own. Gilmour fired back, claiming that the fretless bass you hear on "Hey You" (I think) was actually Gilmour himself playing, saying, "You think [Waters] can play fretless?" :)

Ugh, "8th grade graduation". I'm so glad my school district is not the only one dumb enough to pull that.

Re: Oil changes. Since I have an extended warranty on my truck, I always go to the dealer. This way I maintain a nice record of all service performed on my vehicle. There's always deals and coupons available, so I rarely pay more than the lube/oil chains.

Correct

As a "mature" user, nothing frustrates me more than seeing self proclaimed "spokespersons" make a fool of themselves by touting the positives of legalization while drooling all over themselves and holding a bag of Doritos. It's like going to the local skid row to tout the virtues of alcohol use.

No caps, gowns and all that nonsense. They refuse to call it graduation. It ends up not having a name which is 2ce as confusing.

Good morning Lodge.

Came in this morning to find a few things that were under my desk on top of my desk, my wastebasket missing and my computer turned off. Some facilities people were doing work here last night. I don't mind that they do that, be hello?? Put everything back where you found it!!! And the fact that they unplugged my computer wihout shutting it off is annoying.

Yeah, ours was just "dress nice", no caps or gowns, but everything else was the same, complete with walking up to receive our "diplomas". Pretty ridiculous (though I think my family made a bigger deal out of it than my college graduation).

There is one reason why I think our 8th grade 'graduation' wasn't totally ridiculous (at the time). It was the last time we all would be together as a class in that district as we had to go out of district to go to high school. Now that there is a HS in town, I really don't see the point of the ceremony. Except that it is a big step to go from middle school to high school.
