Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 114: Who gives a...

late at night here...passed my checkride. Easy ride for sure. Great instructor. Just how it should be.
Congratulations! I usually stress more about the ground eval than the flying part. At least the flying part is predictable; during the ground eval they can ask you anything. Of course, if I was smarter, perhaps I would stress less.

Good morning, Lodge!

Sundays are teh suck sausage.

I joined a new band. Still doing the cover thing, but ... less. New band is more towards my style, although there's a little more theatrics than I'd like. Anyway, we're playing the "Freedom Rally" in September. I'm sure our brand of death metal will go over great there.
Interesting. So things didn't work out with the other band? Info on the "Freedom Rally" so that we can assess the new band? :p

Long weekend (not) in NH. On Saturday, tcbg and I drove to Worcester to go to his cousin's college graduation party. His family is really hilarious, quite loud and boisterous to say the least. It was a good time and they even had a pig-roast. Sunday was spent helping legal move into her new place in CT and getting her set up. The place is really cute (as are legal and her hubby). Was, surprisingly, a lot of fun and felt rewarding to see some progress at the end of the day.

And you are...? ;)

I will agree about Sundays, but only because they lead to Mondays.

I just don't want to be here right now (and yes, I know things could be far worse). Blegh.

Absolutely. Make sure you use the original as generic sticky notes don't work and don't help my profit sharing. :D
Did you get my email with my address? Thanks again!

I only use the original. :)

And yes, I got it. I plan to mail it out today, maybe tomorrow if I can't get to the post office in time on my way home.

the flight is always less worrisome then the oral exam for me. With the flight, I'm in complete control. He can give me any approach, any abnormal situation, and I can handle it. The guy that gave me my oral exam basically said that he could ask me anything in between the covers of three books that are thicker than a dictionary.

I'm beginning to think that all the carpenters working on my house, friend or not, are made of sugar. Today is the start of the fifth week these guys have been working on this. It's raining again. No thunder, lightning or biblical deluges. Just rain. They're not working again. I've sat in a boat fishing next to two of these guys on many many occasions when no one even considered going to shore. When it comes to working, the minute it begins to rain they pack up and leave. And don't give me the power tool issue. I've allowed them to use my garage for that very reason.
Damm it

Well, on a happy note - I was just notified that I'm the winner of a sweet Gas Grill and all the BBQ accessories in our Relay For Life drawing :D

Sadly, my old deck was demo'd to build the new deck, which will occur AFTER all the siding and stuff are put on. So I guess I'll have to use the gas grill in the garage until the new deck is built. :(

Hi tLodge! We made it to Connecticut and as you saw in 'Ewe's post we even unloaded the truck. Special thanks to 'Ewe for pushing me around Wal*Mart so we could get the shopping done in a couple of hours instead of a couple of days. (and without sending me to the hospital again).

So, now I am settled in Mr. Hit's recliner to start my workday. This has got to be the most comfortable place I have ever tried to work from!

Scarlet- I hope all works out for your friend!

Legal- yikes! cross your legs. Turbuteline sux. You feel so wired it seems impossible that it stops contractions!
I can't cross my legs, there's this belly in the way!

And you're right about the meds, they do suck but not as much as giving birth at 27 weeks would suck. :( I don't exactly feel wired, but I am really drowsy and can't do anything without my heart rate jumping. Plus no caffeine while I'm on these, so I have a headache. (which might be the meds, might be caffeine withdrawal or might be the beginning of a migraine.

wow, we're so proud of you.

Almost done with sims, and that means almost done with St. Louis!
Yay! Congrats on passing your test!

Will there be chicken on the grill?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 114: Who gives a...

afternoon lodge, busy weekend here. Went to my Cousin's Daughter first birthday party saturday, watch little Fiona smash a cupcake with pink frosting all over her face, rediculusly cute. Then we all hung out there at her place for the nite, drinking beer and enjoying the bonfire after the kids were asleep. Since we would have needed to go by MIS that night, we all figured it was better to crash there in Lansing than going home. Sunday, got up, had another cousin kid use me as a jungle gym for a while, then went to Ann Arbor to pick up my PC from the shop, then went home, and took more of a nap. And today, went and removed 3 little raccoons from the barn, and pulled a bunch of *****ers from the horse lots as well.

Saturday night I went to my godfather's daughter's HS grad party, it was boooorrrrrrring. My cousin then convinced me to go to the street dance/town festival/concert/beer fest in their town, which is only about 15 minutes away. Did that, hung out with my cousins and my aunt and their friends. Had a helluva good time. Ran into many people that I knew. There is something awesome about an entire town just shutting down, putting up some good live music, and drinking together for a weekend.
Small town street dances are hella fun...:)

Congrats on the checkride SG!!
