Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 114: Who gives a...

Hi, Lodge.
This weekend was pretty great. The 3rd and last child in our family graduated (and the last grandchild on my dad's side of the family.) And, as I mentioned in last week's list, it was especially great because we were told by several different teachers/aides/counselors/etc that because of his Aspergers Syndrome related issues he'd never make it through junior high, let alone graduate. :) I'm a proud big sister.

Awesome! You should be proud.

No offense to Shirtless, 'diva, Geist, and all the others who enjoy it, but RUNNING SUCKS!

Funny moment after my run: I had to run to the Mall of New Hampshire to price out a Father's Day gift, and found a spot close to the entrance. As I got in my car to leave, I saw in the rear-view mirror a car pulling through the handicapped spots in the row behind my car. I thought the person was parking in the handicapped spot, until I realized that she was very crooked, and mostly in the unloading area between the two spots, facing my rear bumper. She was vulturing my spot! It's June 14th, ~8pm, and the mall was FAR from crowded. No reason to vulture (and really, the way she did it was a d-bag move).

So, I took my time getting ready to go, then pulled out verrrrrrrry slowly (I think I came very close to her front bumper, because, of course, where she was only barely left me enough room to get out).

None taken. It sucks for me sometimes, too.
I hate when people do that. The parking lots at NMU are the worst. Sometimes, you can't even get out because they're so close behind you trying to get your space. Sometimes, if I had the time, I'd just sit there for an extra 5-10 minutes messing with people--throw it in to reverse, watch them get all excited, then put it back in park and watch them freak out.

It should be legal to murder parking vultures and steal their cars.

Around here, the parking lots at Meijer on a Saturday afternoon are terrible. When I'm by myself, I just park at the back of the lot and walk, but if I have Mom with me, I have to use the handicapped, and I'll be d-mned if some elderly person in their Cadillac won't step on the gas and take the last available spot...

Oh well. I'm beginning to hate driving anyway, especially with my arm in a sling.

BPH, how exactly did they * up your oil change (re: rep)? Isn't that supposed to be the easiest car-related thing a place can do (other than maybe rotating tires)?
