Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #112: Son of "Filling in for the night shift"

Morning Lodge.

I'm pretty happy that there is a 3 day weekend starting soon.
I still can't find a putting stroke this spring. I had four, three putt greens which prohibited me from scoring much better than I hit the ball today. Shot an an eighty-five. I hit plenty of greens in regulation, but quite frankly, I putted atrociously. All four of my three putt greens came when I hit the green in regulation. I might easily have shot eighty-two or eighty-one had I putted reasonably well, but I haven't been able to find my stroke yet. Looking forward to getting back out on the links on Monday with Mrs. Shot.
The only part of my golf game that hasn't been horse**** so far this season has been my putting. :p
When I played golf, I think I averaged 100-110 on the nine hole courses...and frankly, that was with some generous scoring to keep the game moving along (a 10 stroke limit per hole :o).
I think your math is ill.
how can you score 100 on 9 holes if you can only take 10 per hole? ;) :p
Didja see the video of the guy getting attacked by the rabid fox? Put a bullet in wild animals that are acting strangely.
FYP

And for our AM excitement since I last posted we saw a very neurologically impaired fox by our shed, called animal control who gave a rapid (they are 10 min away max and got here in an hour) response and just deceased the fox in the neighbors yard. The local ravens harried it into stumbling next door. Poor thing was pretty far gone. Sad.:(

So, that old cliched phrase is true?

Mrs. Gonzo just sent me an email reminding me that we're the only residents in MN that are left to tend to the grave sites of my Dad's side of the family. We're going to gather up all the required flowers, soil, water and stuff to tend to them properly for the summer. Although a somewhat sad task, I know that each family member would have appreciated it and that makes it all worthwhile. :)

Happy Friday everyone!

Les - great recap, except I'm tired all the time, not just in the mornings. (of course, that might have something to do with the soccer ball I am smuggling under neath my shirt!)

The lad (HS Jr.) & some buds are planning to spend the night at the cabin tonight and can't understand why I will be there too and just won't let him go up alone. Told him my dad could fill him in. :D
Thank you for the morning chuckle. :)

Happy Birthday REDrocket!

Car is in the shop. Both sideview mirrors are being replaced... :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #112: Son of "Filling in for the night shift"

The executive chef at Casa del Shot has informed me that dead animals are on the menu this evening! Mmmmm! Frozen margs, burgers on the grill and fresh corn on the cob for dinner. There's even talk of a stroll to the neighborhood ice cream store to pick up some French Vanilla ice cream to place atop the batch of made-from-scratch brownies which will be served for dessert. It is indeed summertime.;)

:)

Good move. My buddies camp almost burned down when a girl went in the closet with a lit cigarette, lost the coal off the end of the butt into a rolled up sleeping bag. 15 20 minutes later we could smell something burning, I opened up the closet door and there was a glowing sleeping bag:eek: . The camp was in the middle of nowhere, no road in, had to get there by boat, would have burned flat. We were in high school at the time:cool:
