Just made the Ol' lady her birthday dinner, Lobster, Clams, Cole Slaw and her favorite cake. Quite tasty

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #111: Filling in for the night shift

Hi gang. Just got back from being out all day. Drove with the 'rents up to tax-free Salem, NH to purchase a small refridgerator at Sears. It's a gift for my brother and his wife for their anniversary. Drove from there to my brother's house to drop it off. We all went out to lunch, then to my nieces' dance recital at 2pm. After that was over, on the way home, the 'rents and I went out to dinner. Dropped them home, and did a little home shopping at Mom and Dad's Market. :) Brought home a can of coffee (it was on sale, mom bought it while out shopping this week), a quart of ice cream (again, purchased on sale, stored in her freezer) and some meatballs that she had made this week. I like shopping at Mom and Dad's Market. The food is great and the price is right!! :)

Oh, and I need to add my nieces' dance school teacher to Sloe Gin's hammerpunch list. My younger niece is on a dance competition team. One of their performances is called Arlington National. It's won them awards this year. They performed it in the recital today and there's this part of the routine where they have headstones on the stage and they're all supposed to carry them off the stage. One girl left it on stage while the rest of the performance was going on. No biggie. You probably didn't know if you hadn't seen the performance before. Anyway, at the end of the recital we were waiting for both the girls to come out, the older one came out and said the teacher was reaming out all the girls in that performance for screwing up and leaving the headstone on the stage. And was not letting them out to say hi to their families. They're 11. Who the hell reams out 11-year-olds for something so minor??

Is the teacher female? If so, then the answer is "someone in need of a good dicking". ;)

[/Bakunin]

Seriously though, that's terrible. At that age, it's something you gently bring up at the next practice; not something you scream about immediately afterward.

Good Evening, Lodge!

Showed my family where I worked at so when my car finally dies they know where to go. We ate at this restaurant called Chances that had an amazing bbq chicken w/onion strings sandwich and my husband had the Rochester Wonder which consisted of a burger with cheddar cheese, sautéed onions and mushrooms, and 4 slices of bacon that covered the burger. He said it was amazing. It looked amazing.

Evening, Lodge. Had a great day at work, only to come home and find out that Mom has been having tremors all day and hasn't shown signs of improvement. If this keeps up, I fear that my dad and I will have to put her in a nursing home permanently.

If this is a reference to the Denver hotel, I'll be staying there in a couple weeks.

You're staying at the Brown Palace???!! very cool. very very cool. I love that place! two bars - smoking and non smoking - plus great food ! nice martinis too.

Yep - memorial day weekend. I gotta fly out there and attend a friend's wedding. Since the reception is at that hotel, I figured it'd be easier if I just booked a room there.

The internet doesn't work again.

I need to remember to get phone numbers from the girls I meet/dance with at bars. I forget that key part way too often when I'm drunk. :o

bbdl: "HEY! YOU didn't dance with HOT CHICKS!"
MNS: Did you get their number?
bbdl: No. Dammit! Good point. But I still danced with them!

:D

I doubt it'll be the last time I fly to Denver for something. :p

And I'm not a communist. Bakunin is actually an anarchist.

Hi

Sunny and 70s here today, yea

Why am I the first one in here today, bunch of Slackers:D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #111: Filling in for the night shift

Shouldn't. It's a week later than usual this year and the ice went out early so it's like 2 weeks later as far as water temp and fish spawning patterns are concerned. Supposed to be above 70 for most of the State tomorrow. Should be a glorious Opener all things considered. :)

A sunny fishing opener? That's one of the Seven Signs, man! :p

next time you're out here, we're taking you to our Chinese place. They serve everything on styrofoam plates. :D

We got some decent places around here, as well. :p

Sorry, man. We were at the beach. Don't throw things! It was mostly overcast, and half of that was probably smog. Plus, we had to try keeping our lunch down because right in front of us was this pasty 55-yr-old with two twenty-something bimbos. He kept taking their picture, they kept posing in the worst "look at me I'm hot" way. I mean, whatever pays the rent, right? Still, not pretty to look at.
