Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #111: Filling in for the night shift

Jon Casey's still getting "beaten like a rented mule" in his nightmares.

That and, of course, "The Goal". Tough career for that guy.
And in new NHL playoff commercials.

BPH: I trick or treated in it too. Except we lived in BFE, so my mom had to drive me everywhere, in the storm of the effing century. She didn't want me to not go trick or treating. :o

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #111: Filling in for the night shift

:D I surprised my mom. Sent her flowers at work today for Mother's Day. She called and said, "I was surprised to see flowers, and even more surprised to see they were from you".

clearly, she does not consider me to be the thoughtful child
Don't feel too bad: My food-taster died yesterday morning, which distracted my servants, who then forgot to send my mom a card and flowers.

Sometimes it seems like I have to do everything myself.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #111: Filling in for the night shift

I just wasted a half hour tracking down an old post of mine in a previous BU thread to comment on the latest drama about the 13-15 kids that were out drinking two nights before their semi final. I was made aware of that a while back and didn't say anything (cuz it wasn't my place). Had this post all typed up and then decided, nah, I probably shouldn't even bother. Then I was responding to the poster who commented about neg rep he got after he responded to two other posters that I said I wasn't surprised he receiced due to the tone I got from it. I decided, nah, not worth continuing the conversation. All in all, I spent close to an hour on the board and wound up not commenting on anything. Productive!!!! :)

You're not going to get to 20K at that rate. :D

Did your food-taster die while tasting food for you? ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #111: Filling in for the night shift

Hi, kids! Home from class and relaxing before I get ready for a jog. Hopefully a productive weekend is ahead as next week is quite busy with school work. (Might even nap first).

There are no words for my feelings about the BU team. I almost feel betrayed... :o

Got some yummy veggies over at Haymarket today for fajitas tomorrow. :)

Well, I guess I don't have to do anything for mother's day. Apparently my mom is going to be in Peru. She had mentioned that she was going, but I didn't know it was over mother's day. Oh well, kinda hard to send her flowers when she's hiking up a mountain in a third world country.

You sure Pro Flowers can't get 'em there?

A gift basket for that moron? I wouldn't send him the scraps off your floor much less any real food!

;)

I rarely post these days but it is good to know that you are still off your rocker and in dire need of taking additional meds. :)

FWIW and speaking of flowers.......Mrs. g has a very impressive bouquet waiting for her at home.

Dandelions?

Not quite but she is going to freak when she sees them. And she is really going to freak out when she gets a close look and finds a little something I put around the vase.

Dude...you're supposed to take the dog outside for that.

You're not really going to put your little something around the vase, are you? :p

I know about that...I, in a past life, may have been part of that scene and indulged in illicit behaviors never to be spoken of again. But the difference was, it wasn't the night before a big game (or 48 hours before). I don't care if they party until the cows come home, but the product on the ice better be pretty darned good for it to be acceptable.
