Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #111: Filling in for the night shift

Howdy Folks
A wee bit chilly out there this morning

I didn't realize part timers could stick it to the man, the things one learns in the lodge:D
Since we have so many demo people with not enough demos to go around, my boss lets me have whatever days I want, as long as I let her know 3 weeks in advance. :)

Good morning, Lodge. Mom liked her Mother's Day gift from me, as well as the dinner I made for her.

As for today, I'm having surgery to repair a pinched nerve in my elbow at noon. :(

For Ewe
And others, of course.
:D Thanks, Hammer!
Mine's getting out of the hospital today... she called yesterday and is doing fine for somebody who just had their baby maker and some cancer taken out. She told me something to the effect that her plumbing seemed to be feeling better and I said "well, yeah, they just took out half of your mid-section"... not being literal of course :p
Yikes! I hope things turn out okay!
Sometimes I wonder what it'd be like to live without morals, and then I look at bbdl. :o ;)
:) Awesome. Just awesome.
Today was a beautiful November day.
Indeed! It was certainly not up to snuff compared with earlier in the week. Of course, today it was 44 when I attempted to leave my house in shorts and a t-shirt! :o

Good luck! :(

Morning, Lodgers. Spent yesterday playing Trivial Pursuit and relaxing with the bf (the break from schoolwork was welcome). Now I'm between classes and just catching up on tLodge and some other piddly stuff.

BTW - for the post in the Sexy Party thread that ended with: "Morans.", I got this hilarious rep from bueller: "Learn to spell MORON, *****." :D Hee, hee! I figure Brent would appreciate that most of all, but I sure others would as well. Someone is a little sensitive about being single and perving in the Sexy thread. No need for a refill I think since Ralph repped me afterward.

In response to that post, I am happily single and I take offense to you thinking that I'd rather be dating someone. ;)

edit: besides, a girlfriends would probably have a negative impact on Operation Hot Roommates.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #111: Filling in for the night shift

Hi everyone, thought I'd pop in before heading off to take a nap. I didn't have an coffee yesterday and the lack of caffeine seems to have triggered a migraine. Plus I had to be up early today for a doctor's appt, so I am short my usual sleep anyway.

What JF said, and I think you're thinking of non-payment in cold months, they can't shut off your heat.

We apt people just are sad that when we get these unexpected cold spells in the warm months, that we basically hope that it doesn't get TOO cold.
Actually, in Massachusetts there is a law that if your LL is paying for heat, he cannot shut the furnace off until a certain date. It appears that MN's law are not that specific. :(

Ya think? :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #111: Filling in for the night shift

Howdy gang. Had a dentist appointment this morning for my cleaning. There is some very minor recession on my gums so the hygienest asked what kind of toothpaste I use. Apparently there is some sort of rating for toothpaste based upon the level of grit in it. I was told to look for one with a rating of 70 or below. There were only, like, two name brand ones that I recognized with that rating. If I didn't have to prep for a meeting at 1pm, I'd post a few others. What I found interesting is that a toothpaste like Sensodyne, that you need to use when your gums have recessed and nerves are exposed, has a rating much higher than 70. I think that's odd.

Operation "keeper in the dark" would be a simultaneous mission. :D
And that would be a much, much more challenging mission, and ultimately, it would be doomed to fail, someway or another. It also has the potential to be the cause for someone to make me feel pain.

I was warned about gum recession last time I got a regular cleaning, even though they said they don't see any signs that its happening to me. The hygenist(sp?) just told me that the best thing you can do is simply use soft bristle toothbrushes.

My boss's last name is Moran. Stop insulting my boss :p

Well, because MTU's a big giant dick, and no, I don't mean the big brick dick, I'm now taking 3 classes next track and none this track. What does this mean? Well, this Shopko bit will work out this week; granted, I'm going to be in rough shape there on Friday. It also means that I get to take Finnish History & Culture, taught by my cousin (yay!), and I'm taking Intro to Psych online (boo)

I desperately need to go buy new khakis for work. I have about 4 pairs that are getting very ragged. I hate buying khakis, because I hate wearing them, but these are the joys of working in an office. At least I don't have to wear a suit.

I prefer wearing khaki's over jeans. I prefer a looser fit. Despite all my years of buying higher end (Polo, Savanne) khaki's, I'll stick with good old Dockers. The iron free fabric is awesome. Just make sure you hang them as soon as they're out of the drier.

I usually just get Dockers too, the iron free ones are the way to go. I have a couple pairs now that I have to iron every damm time I wash them and it is a huge pain in the ***. I'd just much rather wear a good pair of Levis or Wranglers than any kind of khakis. Its not that they're uncomfortable, but I always worry about getting them dirty and alot of times I'm out in a test cell or a shop area where if I just bump something I'll have a black streak on my khakis.

They do make khaki type pants in black.
Just sayin'...
