I got it now. Stupid AIM. It sucks. And I lost most of my people on there. Bro Gin gave me all the names before, and now I can't remember his. And Commie and LWB, I lost yours too.

Just add 33 to the end of my old name

That is bizarre, I've had my AIM name since junior high (on AOL for that matter) and have never had an issue, nor needed to change names. I'm using a third party IM client with my AIM name though, that might be the difference.

The one of very few times that I am glad that I have a mac. I have had no problems with iChat. :p

Lost yours, too. I remember the base name, but can't remember the numbers after it.

And one thing PC users can do that Mac users can't do? Shut the * up. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #110: Offseason Is Here, So Deal With It.

So, I did not get the Colin Wilson game worn jersey at the silent auction. I was told that it was a game worn from the national championship game. It was not. It was the regular home jersey with the HE 25th anniversary patch, and the DC Frozen Four patch. I think it was the jerseys they wore at Fenway Park when they were honored there after the FF. Anyway, the other bidder I believe was a relative of the kid the fundraiser was for. So I felt a crisis of conscience and was wary of bidding against her. With 7 minutes to go, I did put in another bid. Some woman who I thought was the other bidder bid again and hung out. I thought it was her but when it was over I noticed it was someone completely different. ::shakes fist at my conscience::

Then they had the live auction and I wound up winning a package trip to go see Jimmy Kimmel Live! For four!! Woo!!

mookie bid and won a chance to play golf with Mike Eruzione. :)

My high school best friend was (and to an extent, still is) a Mac addict. The irony of it all? He's now a software engineer for Microsoft. :D

Hey Nathan, I had a question I posted in the restaurant thread on GPL. Bladepuller gave me what I hope is a good lead in Carol's. Kid's are playing an 8 AM soccer game at the NSC in Blaine tomorrow and I'm looking for breakfast nearby afterward. Any good thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

Carol's isn't bad. It's probably the best breakfast place up here, especially since it isn't a Perkins. It's close to the NSC, but ... it will be crowded, prepare to wait.

That definitely tops my brother, who is a Chevy addict, and now works for Hyundai. :o

In my buddy's case, the M$ pay, benefits, and job duties were more than enough for him to lay aside his previous loyalties. ;)

That said, he still owns an iPod and follows Apple from afar, though AFAIK he sold all of the Macs he used to own.

Good Night, Lodge!

Got to be up in 5 hours. Pancake day is today! It feels like X-mas! Except no presents, just awesome pancakes!

Only at the dt for an hour and already the makings for an epic weekend in houghton. This trip=good idea

I hope my parents don't get worried when I'm not in the hotel room when the wake up...eh, who cares, I'm 25 ****ing years old.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #110: Offseason Is Here, So Deal With It.

Welp... another night in the can... I'd rant but it'd be the same old same old. Its hard to know you're a better guy than 90% of the guys out there and then go home alone every night of your life. I'd run through a hailstorm for a girl... *sigh*.

edit: bottom line is I just don't get people... that's the problem for which there is no solution.

While I am mad that you aren't around for the Derby and mint juleps, I have to say that a sixer of the Widowmaker would be grand. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #110: Offseason Is Here, So Deal With It.

Nice. I always enjoyed that game despite it being damm near impossible. Stupid Nintendo hard games. Bionic Commando is another one in that mold, as is any of the first three Mega Man games.
The three most ridiculous things in Kid Icarus were:
1) Eggplant wizards - thanks, sadistic game programmers for putting an enemy in the game that can stop you from attacking indefinitely until you find somebody to remove the curse.
2) Control - some jumps are unforgiving to say the least; if you're just a little off, you're guaranteed to fall to your death.
3) Grim reapers (at least, I think that's what those things are) - if they spot you and you don't kill them immediately, they go bat**** and a bunch of mini-reapers harass you until you either kill them or advance the screen a ****load. Ugh.

Ironically, based on the speed run of the game I saw, the last level of the game appeared to be the easiest one by far. Not only do you fly, but you can shoot across the entire screen and through enemies. That's a hell of a lot easier than jumping around and shooting an arrow that won't even go across half the *'ing screen. I guess that's the programmers offering the player a pity ****.

ughhhh, was exhausted at 7:30, and despite knowing I would likely not sleep through the night, I fell asleep. Sure enough, woke up at 12:30 and have been awake since playing 360. Now I'm going to try falling asleep and not sleeping too long, as tomorrow is my last day at home until August 7th or so.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #110: Offseason Is Here, So Deal With It.

Good Morning Lodge!

Tons of things to get done this weekend, and most of them have to get done as I'm flying to Portland, Monday and will finally get to meet my 4 month old grandson in Kelso, WA.
