Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

Thanks to you and whoever left me the blank one.

I gotta remember not to respond to the trolls from Pinhead Nation there when they're talking crap about a place they've never been before.

I'm a bit surprised no one from Boston got all butthurt and dinged me yet. Clearly the sensible ones don't mind when I call out Rover and Nick P. for the type of people they are. ;)

You can eat goose. I'm guessing Gonzo eats them.

Never had wild Canada goose. I have had farm-raised goose before, and it's very similar to beef, so wild goose is probably quite similar to deer meat in gaminess and toughness.

Could be that, or the fact that I dinged him first. ;)

Got some in the freezer. We were told it's best served marinated, grilled or seared rare, and sliced thin as an appetizer, which to me says it's a lot tougher and gamier than venison. I'll let you know eventually, whenever we get around to pushing it off on guests, er, I mean eating it. ;)

Exactly. Les Habs are a no go for any true Bruins fan. Period. Ask tcbg if you don't believe me. (He hates the Habs more than the rest of us hate the Yankees.)
You could say that he dislikes them a little. :p
(You should ask him about the t-shirt he got for Christmas...)

you did, and thank you. The interview went very well; now we play the waiting game.
Yay! (Sorry I missed your IM -- was in the ER for work.)
By the way, I'm going to have to go O.J. Simpson through the Philly airport to get my connecting flight as my flight out of Albany is delayed. I'll have about 25 minutes leeway.
Good luck!

Learned about the less than awesome days that you can have when you work in the hospital as the CRNP I was working with today was definitely not having a good day (not her fault, just crappy patients). I got in at 8 and she'd been there since 5 (and had left at 3am). When we left at 2:45, I thought she was going to cry (both from relief and frustration). Rep for details, if you'd like. Won't deter me, but it's good to see that not everyday is a rewarding ray of sunshine.

Had to pull that at Seattle/Tacoma to get to Anchorage. My flight from Denver to Seattle got delayed due to a broken plane and switched gates about four times. When it finally boarded an hour late, it sat on the tarmac for ANOTHER hour before taking off. My 2.5 hour layover in Seattle was now a .5 hour layover. I pulled an OJ through Seattle/Tacoma and had to transfer between no less than three different shuttle trains to get to the gate for Anchorage. I made it just as they had started boarding. My luggage didn't make it onto the flight, and didn't arrive until 4 the next morning Alaska time.

What was the cause of the tarmac delay? They didn't have the in-flight snacks transferred over from the broken plane

Dinner was grilled chicken, rice, and purple cauliflower. The human vacuum (my 17-year old brother) ate everything except the purple cauliflower - meaning he had tons of meat and carbs, not exactly the most balanced meal for a diabetic. :o . (I had made extra of everything to bring to lunch tomorrow.) Decided to roast some garlic, throw some shallots in a pot with the roasted garlic and the left over cauliflower; added some half -and half and chicken broth and viola! Purple cauliflower soup for lunch tomorrow. :)
Sounds yummy. :)

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Woooohooo!

Packing today and getting on the road for Minnesota! I can't wait to throw Biddco off a roof. :D
Once again, good luck!

Thanks everyone!
Happy Birthday!

Afternoon, Lodge. Going to a potluck tonight and have no clue what to bring... maybe I can whip up a couple loaves of banana bread before I leave.

Haha, fair enough. It sounds like it'd make good jerky too, since it's already halfway there. :o

In-flight Snacks >>>> Twitch Luggage

The snack needs of the many outweight the basic necessity needs of you. :p

Mornin' Loj! I dislike Dr's visits. Me vs. blood test is never a fair fight, syncope always wins. :o
