Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

I don't know if people really call them the sirloin of the sky (and I guess it doesn't matter) but that cracked me the he11 up. :D

Glad you enjoyed it :)
They're really delicious. MN just started allowing us to hunt them last season and only in the extreme NW part of the state. NoDak has a limited amount of licenses available to applicants across the entire state.

Mornin' Loj! I dislike Dr's visits. Me vs. blood test is never a fair fight, syncope always wins. :o

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

You mean you "get to be in St. Paul" :) or, at least Roseville. ;)
Landmark Center (Warehouser Auditorium on the lower level) at ~11 and Cherokee Sirloin on Smith (lower west side) at 2. I'll be the one wearing green & drinking Guinness.

I just looked at where Midland Hills is. Not much closer to downtown STP than I am right now. Well my 1/4 Irish blood isn't enough for me to qualify for Downtown St. Paul on March 17, so I'll miss it all.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 105: 2010 Assessment

Last night my executive staff ran all the possible combinations of wins and losses through the PWR Predictor. The results were conclusive: BSU choked on its own vomit last weekend and it will be difficult for the team to win a game this weekend, especially since the Beavs don't play.

Doctor Heimlich! Paging Doctor Heimlich!

I hope PU gets put in a regional with inferior schools such as BSU and or UAH so that PU can continue its cakewalk to the championship by beating up on defenseless little cupcakes who have no right playing in the post season. ;)

They can be a PIA, and you may be injured, but I live by a simple motto.
"Never take crap from a bird"
Now if we had some golden eagles knocking us off cliff ledges, that would be dangerous. A libido driven turkey can be solved with a swift boot, maybe several depending on his tenacity. As a hunter, I've had my share of angry geese, turkeys and pheasants thinking they were all that and a bag of chips before they were "reduced to possession" with a simple twist of the neck.
One possible exception, and this is more out of concern for hunting dogs, is the Sandhill Crane (aka "sirloin of the sky"). They can do some serious damage with their beak if they're not quite expired when you or your dog approach them.
**** right you should never take crap from a bird. Especially when they're really tasty as leftovers as well as the main course. ;) :D

Afternoon everybody. forgot to set my alarm last night, didn't wake up until I was suppost to be walking into class. :o

I think the worst birds are geese, they are a pain in the *** and they **** all over the golf course! I hit one once at my course, the goose was 20 feet in front of me, I bladed a wedge, badly, hit the goose right in the body. It was hilarious.

A few years ago, I was lucky enough to draw a lottery tag to hunt geese on Baker National in Medina. We were accompanied by a park ranger and limited out in less than 30 minutes (three hunters - five geese each). The course was closed in the morning, obviously, but when we got back to our trucks a bunch of afternoon golfers waiting for the course to reopen saw all the birds we had and gave us a hearty round of applause and high fives :D

Didn't I just wish you luck here in the happy hockey room? :D If not - good luck!! You'll do fine!! Let us all know how it goes. I'm sorry I won't get a chance to hang out with you guys this weekend. At least I have my own team to follow!!

you did, and thank you. The interview went very well; now we play the waiting game.

Packing today and getting on the road for Minnesota! I can't wait to throw Biddco off a roof. :D

so... what'd you do with them... I'm on the impression that they're a rather nasty bird even when dead.

They should as I think you lived every MN golfers dream.

Hey Ralph, Re your rep....clever pick.:) I'm guessing you ran a battery of data through your computer to help you make that selection. You can probably make a fortune betting a few $$$$$$ on that one in Vegas. [And while you're in Vegas put a few bucks on the Nationals to win the World Series this year.] Maybe buy a PowerBall ticket just in case your "new" favorite college hockey team doesn't win it all. ;)

Awesome.

We've got idiot conservationists here that stand up for the Canada Geese, meanwhile they breed like crazy, sh-t on everything and they're a nuisance. I wanted the idiot hippies to have to take them in themselves and see how they like it, but no, they'd rather have them sh-t all over a park.

By the way, I'm going to have to go O.J. Simpson through the Philly airport to get my connecting flight as my flight out of Albany is delayed. I'll have about 25 minutes leeway.

Good luck with the run across the airport!

Hope you find the real killer!

No kidding. Up by me, there is a selective pool for hunting them on the preserves, but it isn't too widespread and they do indeed breed and **** like crazy.
