Um... Strep is a bacterial infection that, I suppose, may go away without antibiotics. The problem is that if it left untreated and it does not go away on its own, you end up with Scarlet Fever. Which is bad, very bad. (like, can screw up the whole rest of your life bad). So, I'm thinking it probably should be treated.

I like many others on this board already have Scarlet Fever. ;) :D

So... Looks like I gained 4 pounds... Which led to inevitable "malfunction in the gym (something that I've done before... largely benign but frustrating).... Eventually I get out of the gym just to slip on the recently mopped floor... I'm not hurt but if I did I would be fuming because that's a lot of lost time on getting into shape.

If you just started working out you will most likely see a gain in weight for several weeks (possibly even a month+) due to your body protecting itself from change of habit.

JF, I've been at this a lot longer than that... My issue here is that i don't have a fixed idea on calorie intake... I could go on more but that's for the diet and exercise thread... I'm just venting my displeasure and disappointment.

It's not the gym's fault. Think of how much you would have gained had you not been there.

Hi Les, welcome to Boardaholics Anonymous...the first step to recovery is to admit you have a problem.
I have a problem.

You could potentially get Scarlet Fever but it is not absolute. You treat because you could get Rheumatic fever which affects heart, kidneys and a few other organs you might need later. Scarlet fever can actually be just a benign impressive looking rash. Plenty of folks just get a rash and nothing else. (silly facts for the day).

Technology sux.

My phone erased all my speed dial numbers. I called the other day and te girl couldn't figure out what was wrong. I called today to block a kid who keeps calling L'ils phone (insisting it is his cousin's number). The guy told me I need a software update.

My email is disappearing. took me an hour to figure out that gmail had already created an acct that I had to completely delete because it would always be labeled with my old email. I finally figured that out.:p

The chair at my computer desk just completely fell apart (no, I am not that heavy yet).

I wonder if technology is supposed to be off limits.

Clown.. Not blaming the gym... I had a clothing tear when I squatted over to put away a weight.

edit: there are a couple of issues that i'm aware of... the regimen I'm on calls on people not to cut back on calories because I'm building muscle. Fine. But I'd like to at minimum keep my weight stable... if not drop. I know longer term if I'm stronger then I'll be able to drop the weight faster on the other end. That being said, i don't want to gain.

Hi, everybody!
Hi mel!

Swinging by to say hi. Life has been insanely busy!
Hi rock doc!

Evening lodge, I'm in need of a refill. I called a Badger fan on his sense of entitlement.
Done again.

Evening, Lodge. First day back on the job, and nothing changed. However, the usual customers treated us like heroes today... apparently they went without their samples for too long!
