Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 104: Back To Normal Sports

tonight at hockey, some chick that Quiz used to play hockey with and a big dude collided and she went into the boards. After she vomited on the ice, she lost consciousness for a brief period of time. She got trucked out on a backboard...

And no, it wasn't me who hit her.

Holy *. Please tell me she's okay! :( :(

I'm sure she'll be fine. Someone on her team told me she had mono and just got out of the hospital, so I'm sure that was screwing with her immune system

Wait, she had mono and you didn't know?

You guys have a mailman/paper delivery boy/etc?

Okay, you completely wrote that wrong, and I misunderstood. I thought QUIZ hit the boards.

you moron! Is that why you're calling me like 45 times? :p

Can you relax now? You good? :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 104: Back To Normal Sports

Yeah, and it was twice, maybe three times. Sorry for caring. :p

you care about some random hooker who got her t*ts slapped by the boards. Good work, son.

*k you all. I'm going to bed. :D

I thought it was Quiz. So are you calling Quiz "some random hooker"? Because I don't think she'd like that.

She's a moron for playing a contact sport then - you are not supposed to do anything that may involve getting hit / colliding with anything until you have fully recovered from mono.

... and someone neg'd me for this: http://board.uscho.com/showpost.php?p=4662034&postcount=55
I can't imagine why.

Jesus H. Christ. One of the first rules of recovering from mono, right after "no kissing", is "no contact sports or vigorous activity". Hell, Marching Band was as far as I could get my doctor to allow. Not saying that what happened to her wasn't scary or bad, but c'mon...

'Morning, Lodge. Long term subbing starts today. For the next 6-8 weeks, I get to feel like one of the big kids! ;) Of course, it doesn't help that the teacher left about a week before she planned, so everything is in general chaos...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 104: Back To Normal Sports

My son was elected captain of his high school Nordic Ski team for next year. :)
w00t for him!

So I'm thinking of getting boots and looking at Lucchese. Any one have experience they'd like sharing with?

Where's the pole?

My uncle Ray died about 40 minutes ago. 89yo. My aunt was crying, mookie felt sad, but Ray had been in rough shape for the past 6 weeks. Good that the suffering is done. Thye have no kids. I'm sure that was the first question that god heard and for his sake he better have had an answer that Ray liked. ;)
:( Sorry to hear that. Prayers all around. I wonder what God will answer...

double post...

Talked to my realtor, we're putting in an offer on one of the houses tomorrow. It has been on the market for about 4 months, and financing has already fallen through for one buyer so we're thinking that the bank is going to really want to dump this thing. Wish me luck! :D
Good Luck!

Yikes- one of the first case stories I heard in clinical was a kid who had mono and bled out after rupturing liver and spleen in a car accident. Mono scares me. Hope she is alright.

Good Morning boys and girl! Small morning crew this AM.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE! moanin' Monday is here.

Would you necessarily need to consult a doctor if you got mono? If there's not some type of medication that would help, and I was reasonably sure I knew what I had, I probably wouldn't bother seeing a doctor.
