Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 104: Back To Normal Sports

Good morning everyone!
A good weekend of hockey.

Howdy Folks
Going to get my shoulder scoped in a few hours, not looking forward to it or the recovery:D

Good luck!
Finished PT for my shoulder last week. I had surgery in October. The shoulder is doing great, but past experience tells me that it will be a year before I regain full strength.

Morning Lodge.

Sorry to read that mookie. :(

'Grats to the Rat, GE!

Good luck bbdl!

I go to see an NP tomorrow morning about my shoulder, to probably refer me for an MR. I expect I'm going to go down that road that Wally is on. :( Hope to avoid surgery or even scopes though. Suspicion is partial tear of rotator cuff tendon (why does spell check think rotator is spelled wrong, is there a better way to spell it?).

Playoff hockey for me is likely to be limited to peewee and high school. Both of which could end this week as well.:(

'Morning, Lodge. Long term subbing starts today. For the next 6-8 weeks, I get to feel like one of the big kids! ;) Of course, it doesn't help that the teacher left about a week before she planned, so everything is in general chaos...

 (but wishes for speedy recoveries, all)

Morning, Lodge. I'm imposing a limit on my USCHO time today, namely, this post. :o Gotta get * done before I leave for North Carolina on Wednesday.

Morning Lodge.

Another work week....4 day week for me, then driving to Grand Forks, where I will be working Friday, but I'm not sure how much I'll have to do at UND, so I may end up done early. They're actually letting me meet with a customer on Friday!
S'upp y'all.

Yes, cowboy boots- not chitkickers.
Then Luccese are a good choice.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 104: Back To Normal Sports

Would you necessarily need to consult a doctor if you got mono? If there's not some type of medication that would help, and I was reasonably sure I knew what I had, I probably wouldn't bother seeing a doctor.
If you think you have it, the easiest way to confirm is to go to a walk in clinic and ask them to give you a mono test. It's relatively simple, and most places should offer it (ours is called a "mono spot"). I doubt the test costs that much, and it definitely doesn't take long to do.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 104: Back To Normal Sports

Yesterday at my son's Nordic team banquet the coach was saying how Nordic is definately not one of the "cool"sports at school. He went on to say, take some solace, though, as it's still cooler than wrestling. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 104: Back To Normal Sports

Morning tLodge!

Condolences, mookie.

Nice poll.

And I found what happened to my car: the timing belt broke. Luckily, the part will only run $30-35 and I have a friend who won't charge me an arm and a leg to repair it.

Lucky it's a non-interference engine (if the valves are out of position because the timing belt broke, the pistons won't hit them and break stuff), or you'd be out mucho bucks.
What BPH said. The timing belt is one of those things you need to have changed when the owner's manual says you should.

BTW - you know that spring weather you thought you were going to have while you were down here? Yeah, not so much. Right now the forecast for Tuesday is snow and rain. The weather will get a little better after that, but not what we would call spring. On the good side, the weather is here is what you all up north would call spring. :)

We had a car where the timing belt broke while backing out of our garage on our way to have it replaced, talk about bad luck. I think the belt had ~75K on it so we were doing all the right things.....but a$700-$800 bill became $2200. Erf.

This is why I won't buy a vehicle with a timing belt.

Give me a gear/chain driven, single cam, pushrod V8 (or if diesel, I6) anytime.

Good morning from the home of The Denver Pioneers: 2009-2010 WCHA MacNaughton Cup Champions. Looking forward to this weekend's series versus CC and the playoffs.:)

Yikes.

And bb_dl: what do you have against gas-powered I-6s? :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 104: Back To Normal Sports

I just looked back at some old Tech threads, circa 2005. Wow I used to be optimistic about that team, did I seriously think that Tech could finish in the top 4 of the conference? Was I really that foolish? :p
