Yeah, did kinda look at the 28, but that was a bit much at the time. Plus I think that's more of a professional grade drill where you're spending all day using it, 40 hours a week. Well, that house kinda sucked, yeah it was bigger but the rooms were so small! Going to keep on looking, and also going to up the offer on the last house, since I really like it. Since it is a short sale, the realtor said anything can happen, so it can't hurt to increase the offer and re-submit it.
Short sales suck. Definitely be prepared for anything. Had a bid in on a house, it was accepted, ran the whole gamut of tests, inspections, etc. had my financing in place only to have the other bank pull the rug from under our feet and cancelled everything, deciding to go to "private" auction instead. Wasted our money and time for nothing.
I've heard this from many people, and experienced some of it already. At the point I'm at now, I haven't spent any money or commited to spend any money, when it gets to that point I'll get a little more nervous about the thing falling through. Right now if it doesn't work out, I'll just look for another one to buy.
