Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 104: Back To Normal Sports

So, I've discovered that the best time to catch up on the boards is when I'm working out, specifically on the bike. Such a nifty little blackberry.

S'upp y'all.

I am in a non-smoking room near the Carlisle exit off the PA turnpike that is newly non-smoking in name and lack of ashtray only. Dam stinky!! Got another 3hr drive to get to the church for the funeral and then we'll turn around and head back home, stopping on the way in Allentown at a cowboy store to lucchese boot shop ;). Hope there is no snow in the mountains!!
I know where Carlisle is! Thank goodness they finally banned smoking in restaurants in PA - it was so bizarre to go home and have the restaurants be full of smoke after living in Boston for so long.

There's a Melting Pot here about a block away from my office. Never been. Thought about it, though. What did you get?
There is? I'm kind of curious about eating there...I've heard pretty good stuff.
4 courses of deliciousness.

Had a Wisconsin cheddar fondue...it had beer in it, and the bf isn't all that adventerous with the different cheeses. That course came with carrots, celery, apples and bread to dip.

Average salad for the 2nd course.

3rd course was from the seasonal menu. Basically, it was a bunch of meat to cook in oil. Our favorite was the roasted garlic crusted chicken. It also had filet, ny strip, bratwurst, and ravioli (we skipped the shrimp as neither of us likes seafood).

Dessert was dark chocolate with amaretto fondue. (came with rice krispie treats, brownies, cheescake, strawberries, and bananas for dipping) mmmmmm.
MMMM....that does sound good!
My mom had people over for fondue around Christmas time last year, it was the only time I've done it...I got yelled at for dipping the raw filet in the cheese instead of the oil. How was I supposed to know! The raw beef dipped in cheese tasted really good.
A man after my own heart. That sounds fantastic.
I don't count for UNH. :p
*pffft* You're more of a fan than some of the other fans I've met!! (And Malts18 and limeycat live further from UNH than you!)
This day BLOWS. So much has gone wrong. GRRRRRRRR!!!
:( Martini day tomorrow!

Caught up on sleep last night (slept from about 11 until 7:30 only briefly interrupted by getting up at 6:30 without my alarm). Still feeling a bit off today, but definitely much better. Have been quickly crossing things off the to-do list also (which probably helps me feel better). Even bought a nifty new phone today! :)

Went there once, it's pretty expensive, at least for dinner. Went with the family and we had the classic Swiss and the Wisconsin cheese/beer fondues, plus the salad, the meat fondue, and a chocolate/Bailey's dessert fondue. Everything was very good, and I'd say it's worth going once if you can afford to.

My mom used to do the fondue thing for New Years Eve when I was growing up, but she got tired of it and so we haven't had a homemade fondue in a long time. :(

Gorgeous late-Winter afternoon here in Denver. As I was driving home from the gym a few minutes ago the temperature hit sixty degrees. :)

I read this and just can't help but think of a squirrel that's about to drink coffee......
Sigged.

Hope your day is getting better!

Evening, Lodge. Got laundry done today, took the trash out early, did a couple loads of dishes, and had a good dinner tonight. Not only that, I'm getting my car fixed on Friday. Just have to pay for the timing belt, up to 5 hours of labor, and lunch, which is much cheaper than a repair shop... :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 104: Back To Normal Sports

somebody decided to be my mother in the gym today by saying I should be wearing shoes... I agree with the woman in principle but since I don't have lifting shoes I am better off lifting in my socks. "But its a rule"... took all my effort not to tell her that I already have a mother... just ended up saying "nobody's said anything yet". The risk is worth the reward right now and I'm more apt to injure myself due to poor form working in running shoes.

I don't think she talked to the staff... but it was quite annoying. The only thing stopping me from getting shoes is not knowing what to get and being uncertain on the size (seeing as you often can't just find these in the store). The staff, at this point, would have to be plain ignorant to notice I'm lifting in socks.

I wasn't "that chick".
It was either that or watch TV. It's not like I used the crackberry on the elliptical.

don't listen to them... do whatever you need to do or want to do on the exercise machine as long as it isn't affecting your effort.

Brent would be proud of the woman in line in front of me at the grocery store checkout tonight. Couldn't have been a day over 35, and she paid with a check (though she did have the courtesy to fill it out as much as possible ahead of time).

I was going to say Brent would've been all over her, but she wasn't that good looking. :p

I appreciate her payment, and efforts to make the payment as quickly as possible.

I'll trust you, and say I don't appreciate her looks. When a Fooper says she's not good-looking.....then you know she ugly. :D
