6 years for me. It was either that or Sunday School, which meant waking up about 2 hours earlier than normal. Somehow my Mom flawed my logic enough into wanting to do 6 years of the stuff instead.

I have since gotten away from the whole church thing. Too many forced beliefs for this guy.

I don't give up stuff as much as try and do stuff different. Fascinating how Lent morphed from a ritual for people converting and those who were trying to get back into grace with the Church to what it is now...

Heh. The Jewish Doc at my old work told the head Doc he should do that (he was a devout Catholic) they didn't get along so well to begin with- this didn't help :p

Morning Lodge.

I'm not religious, so not giving up anything for "Lent", but I am once again attempting no fast food. I figure it's my Chinese New Year resolution...or maybe I'm giving it up for Lent.


Happy Thursday-like-a-Friday for me! Bf and I are doing a crap ton of driving this weekend. We're going to Niagara Falls tomorrow and ending the day with Air Force at RIT hockey. Then off to Delaware Saturday to surprise Phil's dad for his birthday.

I've met his dad before, but I'm a little nervous as I will be meeting a bunch more of the family. His aunt and uncle are helping with the surprise by taking his dad out to lunch. I read the e-mail to the rest of the family inviting them to lunch and there was a line that read, "plus, this is our chance to meet Mandy". :eek:
