I refuse to believe in any religion that curtails my doing whatever I want, when I want. :D Bring on pre-marital sex, bacon cheeseburgers, and squash the bugs.

A-HEM. Raised Roman Catholic, 9 years of Catholic school. My great-grandma was hardcore, too. She didn't eat meat on ANY Friday, per the "old-school" ways of the Church. I found that out when we spent weekends at her house. :(

Allow me to correct myself, PRACTICING Catholic. ;)

The 9 years of Catholic school thing sort of surprises me.

Only had 2 nuns (although one was principal at our school). The other one didn't really yell at me, since there were bigger troublemakers in my class.

However, she did tell my brother once (2 years my junior) that he was the reason for abortions. :D

A few years after I was done at that school, one of the priests was later found to have embezzled from the Church, and that he was housing an illegal immigrant Asian woman. It was a sugar-daddy/green card sort of thing, apparently. :eek:

My mom had a run-in with a nun when she was in grade school. The nun locked her in a small coat room after getting in trouble for something. Grandpa heard about that and he had a little "heart to heart" with the nun; basically saying that he will be the one to discipline his kids when he sees fit...not some nun.

Actually, I'm pretty sure you could throw Buddhism on that list as well.
