Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 102: Hockey Sucks!!!

Good morning Lodge.

The g family will be heading to Bemidji later today to watch BSU and the last games at the Glas.

The Beavers against the Viagra Blue Pills? Uh-oh. Sounds like your team is in for yet another split.

And a "heads up" for you about the Beavs next opponent, Neb-O. The Mavs were one of the teams which played in Denver's holiday event earlier this season. I can't remember the last time I saw a team that small. This is not a team which can "thump" with legitimately-sized, division 1 squads.

Denver took a 3-0 lead eight minutes into the game and won 7-0. The game was "over" very quickly. Neb-O will be joining the WCHA next season and the program has a long way to go before it can field a team that will challenge for a conference title. I'm glad Dean Blais is coaching there because he'll get the Mavs competitive quicker than many coaches would do so. Maybe it was because the Denver event was on New Year's Weekend, but lots of Mavs' fans were in the arena. I have a feeling those fans will attend games in Denver [and the Springs] when Neb-O plays here.

Neb-O has an outstanding record at home, but an inept road record. BSU fans should accustom themselves to seeing Neb-O frequently as it's my understanding the Mavs and Beavs will play each other four times every year because when the WCHA makes its master schedule those two teams will be regarded as each other's "rival" for the purpose of constructing the conference schedule. I'm not saying BSU fans will regard Neb-O as its rival, only that the WCHA will regard BSU and Neb-O as rivals for the purpose of issuing its master schedule.

Also did a good deed, we stopped by Campus Pizza after the game to let traffic clear and the guy who sat down next us was from SoCal. We were chatting for a while and it turns out he was in town because his mom has Leukemia and came to the U to go through a bone marrow transplant. Since my sister-in-law just got her 100 day clean bill of health from the same program I fully understand what he's going through so we picked up his beer. No much but gave us the warm fuzzy feeling, you know. :)

Cancer still sucks - luckily, beer doesn't. :D

Bye Bye Week?

This just makes me think of the Backstreet Boys. :(

Morning, Lodge.

And the WCHA didn't want BSU scheduling a bunch of cupcakes like PU, UND and MN more than they already have to. :p :D

She should reply "That was the point. Thanks"

I just can't believe that at a school where they pride themselves heavily on their intelligence that this could be a legit concern. Then again, we are talking about Michigan Technological University.

Good morning tLodge. I am very, very happy it's Friday. Robbie returns home tomorrow night! :) He's been in Connecticut for the last two weeks.

Plus UNH is on TV tonight (Yay NESN), I get to go skating tomorrow, dinner with friends tomorrow night, and a trip to the Olde Mecklenburg Brewery (which I don't think is really that old) on Sunday. Only bummer is that I am the DD for Sunday's trip.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 102: Hockey Sucks!!!

ctf got this email today about naming her Floor Hockey Team Bye Week:

Bye Bye Week?

Pfftahhahahahaha! Nice.

When I went to tUMD our floor hockey team was "Slide It In". :)

Apparently, for the first game, because I didn't answer my phone at 8 this morning , he called us Byed Week.

Our official name, however, is now Foopers.
