Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

Afternoon, just woke up. Decided against skiing because it's supposed to be ugly this afternoon/evening, with near zero visibility, and given how NYC drivers freak out at the first sight of white stuff, that would be a traumatic experience for all of them.

MEUSA: Seeing how the cowardly bobcats decided to win their 2nd game since Dec 1st Saturday, is that giving you enough hope to make the trek to the North Country for the games this weekend?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

I soooooooooooooooo want to travel right now. Unfortunately, it seems like nobody I know is able to travel now because of the sucky economy or their job (aka lack of free time). :(

There is sooooooooooooooo much to see/do in the world and I want to experience as much of it as I can.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

Call me sometime when you have no class. ;)
:p
That's why they call it the Windy City, dear. They weren't just bull****ting you.
Pretty sure it actually has to do with the politics in Chicago, not the weather...

Back from school - "early dismissal", so my 12pm class was canceled. I spent more time traveling to school today than I did on campus. At least I have an extra two hours to relax. Don't have tons on the homework front (though I'll probably do some reading to get ahead).

Nope...the proximity of the buildings creates a venturi effect which causes the wind to speed up through the city.

The shady politics are the entire state of Illinois. :D

Mornin' Lodge.

'Morning, Lodge. Was supposed to sub today, but woke up feeling like a truck hit me. Headache, bodyaches, sore throat, cough, chills, the works. :(
Call in for a sub!  The irony!

You work in Plymouth, MI?

Was it named one of the best cities to live in by Fortune magazine like Plymouth, MN?

My Plymouth was number 1 in 2008 :D
Not sure for MN but Plymouth, MI is awesome. I used to live there and that isquite possibly one of the coolest, smallest feeling, large towns in metro detroit.

The 79th floor, huh? Is that the John Hancock Building?
Well I guess maybe I was hoping it was really the "gentle breeze city" and it was just wind inflation.

John Hancock in Boston or is there one here too? It was the AON building, it is on Columbus, just south of the river.

I can go to wisconsin, does that count. Actually I have to fly home in a couple of weeks to shoot a wedding, butI dont reall think that is an adventure.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 101: Saturday Morning

It was fine until I went to the DMV. I was seriously considering giving up my CDL because they were making it such a pain to convert my licence. And I have never met unhappier, ruder people in my life. And I work for a french company. We know rude!!!

Otherwise it doesnt seem that different from Mass. Other than I think the drivers here are worse.

Welcome to the State of Illinois :p You'll find that most state agencies strive to excel in this area...

I was thinking of drinking before I go back this weekend to convert my licence. In theory I have to do it by the 12th, which is apparently a holiday here. I will say I feel better that massachusetts isnt the only state that makes up holidays

I assume the holiday is in honor of my daughter's birthday. :D

Which is like winning the Special Olympics. ;)

Had to say it before someone else did

The snow seems to be letting up. I can see the Nats' Stadium in the distance. :)

Wisconsin is the worse state ever!!!!!!!! So no that doesn't count. Although, I do like Wisconsin Dells and Pirate Cove mini golf. At a matter of fact for a while I was hoping to help a certain little girl get to have a great time there but then unfortunately the misfortunate of adult life intervened. Women!!!!!

I've been to Boston atleast four times and had a great time each time (even though twice it involved you :p ) so I really think you should take me some where else.
