Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 100: This Poll Sucks

Morning!

I am looking forward to doing nothing this weekend.

I might even turn on the 5 hour Ad bowl on Sunday night.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 100: This Poll Sucks

Welp... great start as I wait for the dryer to finish so i have something to wear... i have to be out of here by 8 or otherwise i have to use vacation time to cover the time after 9 that I'm late.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 100: This Poll Sucks

I had my three month check-up today. The news was all good. PSA was undetectable, no sign of cancer.
I don't care if I shouted in the Extras thread already: That's awesome, sir.
If you/anybody are interested, Kids in the Hall got back together recently and made an 8 part mini series called "Death Comes to Town", which is currently airing on CBC and should eventually be put on air in the US.
Back when we were both young and fresh-faced, people occasionally told me I looked like Dave Foley. Could be worse!
We're supposed to get 1 to 2 feet of snow starting sometime on Friday and going into Saturday.
This is crazy, Ralph. I think in the five years in lived in DC we had a total of 15 inches of snow, and 12 of that came at one time. Which was a shock. And yet this year it just keeps coming!
Not a bad idea if I have the time.
Speaking of that snow, I still am interested to know what you prefer when shopping at a liquor emporium. (Don't say, "Sales!" :D )

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 100: This Poll Sucks

Why does no one supply me with endless gobs of money so I can stay home from work and live a life of leisure?:(

We have had many years with only a dusting. A lot of potential snowfalls just become rain here.

Lottery tickets. :D (Just kidding.) I am actually not much of a drinker.

Good Morning Lodge.

At work early, but I'm out of here by 3:30, so I can't complain.

If they enforced that policy here, a lot of people would be taking a lot of leave. We must be here from 9-11 and 1-3 and can start as early as 6:30 and stick around as late as 6:00 (I think), but none of that is enforced.

Just hope that your dryer doesn't do what mine did. The thermostat went out on mine and wouldn't blow warm air. I'd have clothes in the dryer for over 2 hours and they wouldn't be any drier than when I took them out of the washer.

Good evening Lodge. I had my three month check-up today. The news was all good. PSA was undetectable, no sign of cancer. Woohoo! I go back again in three months and if the results are the same, I will have PSA checks every six months for the next five years, and then annually. Doctor and patient are both pleased. :D
Great news! :D

Good morning, Lodge. Already done a load of dishes, a load of laundry, swept the kitchen floor, and baked a fresh batch of oatmeal this morning. Still need to buy groceries and work out, but my day is off to a fantastic start. :D

The DC/Northern VA area sure did something to **** mother nature off. A college friend of mine who lives up there says he feels like he's back in Ithaca, which he moved away from to avoid this type of weather. :D

Just looking at some scattered snow showers here over the weekend. Doubt anything will come of it. But who knows - schools just re-opened today after we received 6-8 inches of snow on Saturday!

Can't wait to see the Big Red slap around the Skating Deerticks on national television tomorrow night.

Seriously, could this week be any longer? After Monday and Tuesday, even the calendar said Wed Thu Fri.

Morning, Lodge. I get to experience the joys of running for a National (organization's) office.

Does that make me a... politician?? :o

Schools closed for 3 days over 6-8 inches of snow!?!
Some people need to suck it up.

To be fair, that's not like well-behaved Midwestern snow. It's the kind that rapidly becomes heavy, icy, sticky nastiness, and even the best Midwestern drivers can barely get through.

...or maybe the East Coast just sucks. :p

Truth be told, I can probably get away with it. I prefer to abide by the rules though I think they're silly... there's very little i really have to be around and on-time for... but its a one-size-fits-all policy. I dunno... today was my "go home early day" because I skip the gym on Thursdays.

The last time I had no choice as I had a volleyball game that night so I had to take leave.
