I see after taking a week off to sulk and sit in the corner, next weekend, Big Midget State will play Bob B. Morris for the forty third and forty fourth times this season. That CHA schedule is just a bit incestuous with as often as those teams pair up in a series. :eek:

Or, in other words, since you work for the gubberment, not much difference than being in the office.

So this morning the weatherman says, snow showers, maybe an 1 inch. Tonight after its been snowing all day there is 4 or 5 inches on the ground. What other job can you be wrong on a regular basis and still be employed?

My son wants to study meteorology in college (hence the visit to UND), I think he's onto something. :)

nah... not that crazy... they're shutting down parts of the subway for weekend repairs.

And since I work for the government there won't be any forced vacation days unless the congress and the president start slap-fighting again. If a Republican congress gets in control I'll see what I can do about setting aside a couple of month's salary quickly. There are a fair number of stories from the last government shut-down... everybody got paid but not until it was over.

That being said, I'm a researcher... its not much of a difference 'cause the brain is always on... best ideas come in the shower. :p :cool: :eek:

edit: on a positive note... I have a working macbook cord!!! :D

DU has won seven NCAA hockey titles, and that number doesn't even come close to the sport in which the Pioneers have won their greatest number of NCAA titles: skiing. In fact the Pioneers are the defending NCAA ski champs and last year's title was the school's twentieth [20th]. Nordic skiing is an important part of NCAA ski meets.

Skiing is the only NCAA sport in which co-ed squads compete for a title. That is to say men and women comprise the team which is crowned the NCAA ski champion. There aren't separate titles for men's and women's teams.

If your kid becomes proficient in his event you might keep DU in mind when it comes times to look at colleges. And let's face it, secretly you've always harbored a deep ambition to cheer for the Denvers. Your kid may be your only hope to do so. :D :D

Only hippies have Mac's. How do you get anything done on the laptop for 5 yr olds? Oh wait government... you don't actually do anything! :D

I'm sorry, do I hear whining? You want to try? Sorry, not yours. ;) :D :cool:

I bought it as a "netbook" but i've ended up using it much more often than that... I'm thinking of demoting it back to a netbook after tax season... I'm looking in building a desktop into my home entertainment system set up... that'll be windows based.

Good Evening Lodge, and Happy All-Nighter!

Sadly, I'm not in Houghton, so I'll be going to sleep early, so I can wake up early, and leave for Houghton after work in time to get to the DT before they're done serving wings. :D
