It's nice to have options for a change. For the last three years I've felt I didn't really have a lot of options as a result of the economy and corresponding lack of engineering funding in the Twin Cities.

How about this: you're one ****-up away from only being qualified to scramble eggs or work at WalMart for the rest of your life. Or maybe someday they'll let you put the ketchup on hamburgers at Rally's. And if you ask really nicely, they'll probably let you put the fries in the basket before they go in the oil. After all, you're really smart and you did skip kindergarten 12 years ago.

Get your **** together. Immediately, if not sooner. The scrap heap of every college in America is littered with people like you.

The incentive has to come from within. We collectively might be able to encourage you (ok, maybe not Sloe), but you have to be the one to decide what it is you want and do whatever it takes to get there. There's no such thing as a free lunch in today's world.

If the finer things in life were easy there'd be no point! ;)

Based on a previous Lodge discussion regarding dinner menus, tonight we had grilled cheese and bacon sandwiches with creamy tomato soup! Mmm, mmm, good!

The Mrs. thought I was nuts when I suggested the GC&B but she admitted it was a great choice! :cool:

Wait 'til she hears what I suggest for dessert! :p

I had leftover pizza-materials, so I'm making pizza. Just ham for toppings. I have bacon, but I'm hoarding it for just the right moment.

Lost the transmission in my truck today. 108,000 miles, driving along and all of a sudden I get a hot transmission warning, pull over, check the fluid and it looks like waste oil,F___k. As soon as I saw the color I knew it was pooched. Limp to the dealer, 3200 bucks for a new factory transmission, don't even have the piece of crap paid for yet. Priced a new truck, 30,000 but I'd have to order it as there are none to found in the whole country, that means 8 to 12 weeks before I'd get it. So I have to fix it and that sucks

Well, as long as the engine is solid, $3200 is better than $30 K. It's like comparing burnt hamburger to spoiled chicken, but all the same.

Yeah but the 3200 would have paid the truck off. Oh well, I need the vehicle to make money, without it I'm useless:)
