Even if he never hunts in his life, firearm safety is a great course to take. In my opinion everyone should know how to handle a gun safely, even if they never have any intention of ever shooting one. With something like firearms, the more people that know how to safely handle them, the better off we all are.
I took firearm safety, even though I didn't know if I'd want to hunt or not. I ended up going deer hunting with my dad and loved it. I've gone every year since.Just signed the kid up for firearm safety training this spring. He'll need it if he ever wants to hunt (which he wants to try).
