Re: Rep Retirement #151: Stop Letting Baukin make polls!

Beautiful day here...

I think that last lightning strike was really close...

Huh. I got zero lightning (that I saw, anyway). Not even much thunder. Just a lot of rain (and now sun). Odd, since we live rather close to each other.

Re: Rep Retirement #151: Stop Letting Baukin make polls!

We have some nasty thunderstorms approaching.............

Re: Rep Retirement #151: Stop Letting Baukin make polls!

We got a little rain and some wind, but nothing severe. Just enough that our picnic got moved in to the screen porch and I kept the grilles underneath the porch while grilling steaks. Kids still played badminton. Bakunin makes ****y polls but he's better than the weather guessers.

Don't you just love this time of year??

Anyways, back from lunch with Dad in Tecumseh, listening in a bit on his pity party and all that. Things will be a lot happier around here once they get everything settled and he moves out of the house finally. Should be within a month or so I hope. Anyways, back here holed up for the evening, as its going to be pretty soon there's going to be 100,000 or so coming out of MIS and a lot of them are going to be streaming down M-50 and US-12.

Got the feeling that I'm probably going to have to take a dog to the vet soon to have her put down. She's pretty old and has been getting pretty feeble, walks a bit funny, and can't quite handle going up the stairs by herself. its that first step for her, once she's on it she's good to go. And she's blind and she's got an eye infection going on in one of them.

And to top everything off here that's going on with me right now, I've got another stinkin' wax buildup in my ear. been trying to get it to loosen up, and its just not been moving.
:( about dad and the dog.

One of our old nurses used to use liquid stool softener/ cut open a stool softener gel cap (like generic colace) and dripped it into the ear. We thought she was crazy but she could get the most nasy wax out that way. She just let it sit for awhile before rinsing. Worked better than anything else I've seen used, even the fancy squirters.

For some reason we don't have that anymore. :( Now we have this really expensive squirter thing that makes a mess but doesn't do half as well as a poopy kid squirt gun would. At the old place we used a water pik because you could see when the stuff came out so you knew where to aim. Can't use that anymore because it is for teeth. I keep saying we should use a squirt gun but that wouldn't be professional either. A super soaker would be bad, blow out the eardrum and be unprofessional. THe wimpy water pistols would be perfect!! Just think of it- using a batman water pistol to do the kids. THey would be jazzed. :p heehee!

Beautiful day here.

And for Father's Day, I spoke to my biological father on the phone. He's still got a feeding tube and a catheter, but he's making a lot of progress. Also made my stepdad pancakes and bacon. Sweet, wonderful bacon.
Great to hear!

Wedding gift from Sweden? Awesome!
Well, I survived Grandma's Marathon weekend. Officially on vacation until 6/27. :)

It won't be a 6'4" studly looking masseuse. I think I am safe in saying that. :p

Well, if anybody could change bb_dl's mind about the benefits of massage, it would be a girl that big. ;) The more correct turn you're looking for is Masseur. :p

Ooo, ok Mr Smarty Pants. :P

Nothing wrong with a tall girl, I'll agree there.

Loooong day of kickball... My sore is sore right now.

Thought we'd win this season (my main team) but we got rolled by the usual suspects... I was ready to throw a ton of money down on shots.

Off season time... Maybe it's time to take a trip to the complex pool.

Looks like Round 3 is going to hit the Cities in about 45 minutes. And it looks bad on radar. Lots of red.

Re: Rep Retirement #151: Stop Letting Baukin make polls!

And now the MCS / bowing line has formed and is racing across the state. The west side of the metro will get hit by 10:30-11pm. 60 mph wind gusts are basically a given with this line. The most intense part of the line (which will probably impact the SW metro) could produce winds of 80mph (currently a tornado warning with that portion of the line, although that's radar-indicated rotation, so whether there's actually a tornado or not is anyone's guess).

Racing is correct. At first, it looked like a midnight hit, but nope, that group of storms is cruising. I hope it doesn't split when it hits me, which is usually the case when it hits the 494 area.

Actually, I'm guessing she's about 5'4"/5'5" with shorter brown hair...:p

Re: Rep Retirement #151: Stop Letting Baukin make polls!

I don't see this MCS breaking apart anytime soon. It'll probably produce widespread wind damage into western wisconsin.

That is what I can only hope for. I don't see it breaking up, either, but stranger things have happened. Getting some good lightning to the west right now, and some low thundering. Nothing bombastic yet.
