Re: Rep Retirement #151: Stop Letting Baukin make polls!
I had a party at my boss's house last night. Most of the department showed up. It's fun to see drunk boss. He's much like sober boss, but cusses a lot more. He's also really competitive in backyard games.
My paternal grandfather (100% Swede) said "Hey hey" all the time.
It's not just a Swede thing. When I was in Europe, I noticed that a lot things get repeated. When Germans say yes, they'll often say, "Ja, ja." Italians said "Ciao, ciao" all the time. I didn't catch anything in France, but every word over in that language sounded the same to me anyway. I got the impression that a lot of single syllable words get the double treatment.I wonder if that's a Swedish thing or general Scandinavian thing?
