And my friend's venture has been pulled way back, due to that exact skirmish.
In college I got called the n-word by my black co-workers. That was kind of crazy. I was like, "Yeah, you know it . . . uh, guy."
(Scarlet and mookie, this was at the Au Bon Pain in the Park Plaza hotel. Interesting place. Posh costumers, and the service staff was all Roxbury.) (Except for one pale Indiana college kid.

I dreamt of a BLT I saw in the hands of a DD the other day. I might have dreamt of her, too.I took a quick snooze before the start of game 6....and dreamt of the BLT I saw on DDD.

There is something so magical about watching that cup celebration that just reminds you so much what a grueling fight those guys go through to win it, and the obvious feeling that they feel like ten year olds on their outdoor ponds once again.

Good Morning. Made it to the work site, and now just waiting for the work that I'm here to do comes up.
Surprisingly, I had steak last night, and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. I wasn't expecting it, since on the menu it didn't even specify what kind of steak it was, but it came out and it was a filet, with a scoop of some kind of soft flavored cream cheese stuff on top of it and some kind of berry reduction over the top, cooked to a perfect medium rare...very, very good. I'm pretty sure I'll be having it again before my 10 days here are over. Also surprising is the weather, it is just about perfect, about 60 degrees F and sunny right now, and it should be 65-70 at mid day.
I can see why my ancestors settled in Minnesota, if you took away the road signs and cars, it would be **** tough to tell the difference between here and Minnesota. The trees are the same, the landscape is the same, the lakes look the same, even the houses/barns/sheds/buildings look the same.

Also, I remembered last night...it doesn't get dark here. I woke up at 2AM and it was still light out. Apparently, it gets kinda like dusk for about 45 minutes between 12:45 and 1:30, but I missed that.

Dentist appt this afternoon. Figured i'd get a last one in before my insurance ends at the end of the month.
Bought new Health insurance. I thought $138/mo was a decent rate for an individual policy that isn't through work.

Yeah JF, that seems OK. I had to get a one-month policy until the new place's plan kicks in. It cost ~$255 for three of us with $1k deductible. Had to do it as my COBRA window closed at the end of May and jr is in a hockey camp right now.

I could of gotten it down to about $108 if I wanted to do that stupid HRA savings plan. No thanks, I don't need yet another bank account to deal with.
