The forecast I see on my computer has dialed down the high temp today from 91 to 89. Huge difference, like going from -21 to -19.

Oh, only 89.....;)

Either way, ugh. Right now it's 70 degrees with a 60 dew point. At least there's no rain until tomorrow. I don't mind the heat, but that mugginess...no thank you.

Dewpoints aren't supposed to be particularly high today - only upper 50s / low 60s.

Tomorrow will feature the more disgusting mid-to-upper 60s dewpoints and the possibility of severe weather, particularly in the evening.

Sharapova is in destroy mode at the French final this morning and is now the #1 player in women's tennis. Amazing considering her shoulder issues / surgery could have ended her career.

To continue my low self esteem rant from yesterday......our biggest, huge event that so many of us have been working our asses off for so long will now probably be ruined. Woke up to see this forecast:

And I feel this is because I am working on this event. Talk about Opposite Girl. *sigh* And I will bet any amount of money the same thing will happen on July 3rd and 4th.

I bet if you sent out an email saying you are to get absolutely no credit whatsoever if the event goes well, the forecast would change to sunny with highs in the 70s. :p

I am looking forward to going to the Cubs/Twins game today, but I am not looking forward to standing outside in the heat and humidity.

I just hurt my back. Went to the pool area to wash off the grime on the chairs on my balcony and the hose isn't there any more so I was bending to stick the chair under the nozzle and I think I pulled every muscle in my back. Just took two Advil. Not sure what I should do here. It feels a little better and I can move but I don't know if it will get worse or better.

ice, ice, ice.

Cannot be emphasized enough. Lay down and get an ice-pack, or better frozen gel pack, on it. RICE - rest, ice, compression, elevation, is the gold standard for muscle pulls and strains. hard to elevate or compress a back but do the others.
