Did you hear? Walmart isn't closing on the night of Thanksgiving and then re-opening buttcrack-of-dawn early on Black Friday this year, because of a few morons last year. So there will be people guarding palates and aisles, because I'm sure THAT'S not going to cause any problems :rolleyes:

I swear, if someone touches me, they're losing a finger. I already have zero faith in humanity, and working at Walmart on Black Friday I'm sure is only going to make that worse.

John's dad died about 5 years ago, his mom died in August; John went to pick up his brother (only sibling) last Friday for their annual deer hunting trip and found him dead in bed. Nope, this is a vacation weekend. I told him about a month ago that I wouldn't be around this weekend, so he planned around it. This is partially why we've hit it so hard the last 2 weekends when I have been home. Sadly, this also probably means that we'll be working next weekend also, instead of enjoying opening weekend for our deer season.:(

Let the crops go to hell and collect the insurance money and kick back and enjoy the winter. :p :D

Target's Black Friday sales flier was leaked. Bargains include $3 appliances, gift cards for purchases $100 or more...and 32" HDTVs for $246...

That was last year. Except mother nature took care of it. We had a huge storm, tornado, hail, straightline winds, that took out about 1/3 of the crop. Luckily we had crop insurance.

First of all, my condolences on your family's loss.

However, I am noticing a distinct trend. BSU makes it to the Frozen Four, and in full expectation the Beavers will be destroyed......gmann disappears to Vegas.


BSU is scheduled to go to the woodshed and get thrashed by the Golden Golfers twice.....gmann breaks out his grey pin-striped suit and heads to a funeral.

2010-2011 season [and beyond] BSU joins the WCHA.....and gmann is never heard from again. Let me be the first to say "adios." :D

I'm going to be in New York City on Black Friday. No shopping for me. I'll be doing some sightseeing. Not sure what.

If BSU was not getting into the WCHA next season I would have not missed this series. Since BSU will be playing mn on a regular basis going forward and since mn no longer has an excuse to schedule (hide) from BSU I will have many more chances to witness BSU keeping the crowd at maryucci quieter than normal. :D :p

Regarding Vegas. Even though it was mainly scheduled for R&R, not going would have been career suicide and why I could not get out of it.

FWIW I will be visiting quite a few WCHA arenas over the next couple seasons.

Personally, If I was you, I would get something like a tee-ball bat from the sporting goods department, tie it around your like a belt and around the handle with about 7 feet of rope. Cargo pants with a hammer loop would be ideal to wear if you can. Whenever the mob gets out of hand, you'll always have the bat there handy to go and regulate. ;)

Thanks for the warning! Oh, and good luck trying to get a sound night's sleep tonight and tomorrow knowing that the Detroit Pylons, er, Lions will be systematically dismantling the Vikings this weekend. Brett Farruhvuh is gonna look like Jay Cutler did last night. :eek: :eek:

The bat will be bigger than she is. :D That would be amusing, though, to watch Half-Pint thwop someone upside their greasy head.
