Re: Rep Lodge Thread 89: As The Holidays Approach

The gorgeous fall weather here in Denver will be taking a break for the next few days. It's seventy-three this afternoon, but starting tomorrow the forecast is calling for a four day run of highs in the low 40s to upper 30s with the lows at night dipping to the mid to low 20s. No snow in the forecast for Denver, but the mountains should be getting a bit this weekend.

Hope everyone's week is going well. Hang in there because the weekend is within sight!! :)

Indeed not. I know a number of Tech CEEs though - what fields of engineers are they specifically looking for? As for me, I'd consider moving west as a laborer, if I didn't have a good setup in the summer and the seeds of a career in the historical field.
Production, industrial, computer, and electrical engineers are or have been in demand in the last few months. Anyone who can work the oil fields or construction trades is also in demand.

Good job out of you, practicing safe football cheering and all. :)

I'm sure you won't be surprised that we took A LOT of crap for that name :o

But it was all in the family. Dad was '53, Mom '57

Me '77

Kids '03, '04, '06

It's our burden to bear ;)

Re: Rep Lodge Thread 89: As The Holidays Approach

Mr left for Alabama this morning at 4:30. L'il needed to be up at 5:30. Mr left packing until 11:30 last night after having all day to do it. Guess who is sleep deprived this morning?
Sounds like something I would do...:D

Well, I would say she touches herself at night, but I can't see that as a bad thing.
I fail to see a problem. :)

Morning Lodge.

Hot Toddy's? Weird, my friends just had those at the bar earlier this week. This is the 2nd time that I had never heard of something until that week and then within days it is mentioned on the board. Is someone spying on me or something?

My concerned home-owner level is at Orange. Got home from work yesterday and my garage door was up. I thought I had put it down. Fortunately, the brand new (bought Sunday) lawn mower was still there, as were the golf clubs and bike. When I went to leave last night I stayed to make sure the door went down all the way, it did, and then went back up.

Investigation led to a perfectly sized rock having been placed at the bottom of the track. Almost wedged, such that how this rock made its way there is very suspicious. Anyway, rock was removed, and door went all the way down last night. Haven't been back yet. I'm a bit nervous as to what I'll find when I get home from work today.
It's also possible that someone in your neighborhood has a garage door opener on the same frequency...we had that problem at the apartment building I lived at a few years ago. Unfortunately, I was not as lucky as you with the golf clubs (Tommy Armour 855's...I was angry).

What is this all about now??
Augusta National Golf Club doesn't allow female members...

I've come to the conclusion that true hockey fans generally don't act like cake-eaters.
You've obviously never met Edina hockey fans...:D

Morning, Lodge. Apparently Target doesn't want to hire me after all.
If it makes you feel better, my brother didn't get hired either...and they didn't hire Dirty back a few years ago when he tried.

DL!?!?! Taylor Swift is still a teen :p
19 is an adult rock boy...;) :D

The Trojans playing Morehead would hvae a "Fertile Woman Dies In Climax" quality. :)
I remember that headline. :D

Get to work at 4:30 AM on Black Friday...this should be fun. Anyone up for going to the bar at 1:00ish? :D

Re: Rep Lodge Thread 89: As The Holidays Approach

My day is not going well. See grind gears thread. Outta here before I am a prisoner, without water for hours.

So after I got no sleep, had a migraine from lack of sleep, was driven out of my house after not getting a shower (and finding out Mr used up all the sugar) I tried to leave my road- couldn't get out of the driveway (excavator had taken up residence). Finally got out of driveway went 20 feet and ran into another excavator blocking end of road. Wait. Go by (finally) get to end of next road. Can I go right? NO. Road is blocked/ closed. Look left. Excavator is completely across road and has hole across same. More waiting. Go to work after stopping at market for sugar  and Dunkins (highlight of whole day) and having a 1/2 caf, 1/2 decaf coffee get to work- I am covering whole practice. DIpshiz other NP has left a bunch of things unresolved, lousy notes with things that need to be resolved as she is away until Monday. (She is a lazy GD slug and today I had way too much exposure as to how much). I lost my nurse at 4 and had 4 patients after that. Finished pts and the dip receptionist had messaged me a bunch of stuff that she shouldn't have about stuff that I had already resolved but she told patient that I would call them about. She does it on purpose every week. Stupid witch never gets written up and knows she won't. NOT a good day.

So, got home and my rep is full of nice wishes. Thanks for all the thoughts guys. It was kind of nice cos Mr is in Alabama. I had 2 oreos (chocolate milk in pill form) and I am watching Mr and Mrs Smith blow things up. I might be ready for tomorrow when it comes.

Sounds like someone is in a world-record-gawdawful mood. In other words, it's the perfect time to go extort more $$$$$ from Lewis P Junior. :D :D :D

[Don't mess with me kid. I'm your mother and I'm in no mood.]

My panini maker arrived. Grilled chicken something or other tomorrow night, likely after the game.

Re: Rep Lodge Thread 89: As The Holidays Approach

Hi Lodge!

I'm debating splurging on a new laptop seeing as it's the "CONSUME, AMERICAN CITIZEN!" season. This one's starting to show its age. It's got some life left, so I'll probably make it my "travel" laptop because it's no big deal if it gets lost/stolen.

The laptop I'm looking at. Asus, Intel Core 2 Duo, 4 GB RAM, 320 GB hard drive, 16" screen, Windows 7, glowing reviews and a good brand from what I've heard (same company manufactures the MacBook Pro for Apple.) $800. You don't get much better than that at that price range.

I've used their motherboards to build my last two desktops, and I doubt that I would buy any other brand of mobo at this point in time. Whether that same rock solid reliability translates to their laptop offerings, I have no idea. I'd probably try and Google for a few more reviews.

Augusta National Golf Club doesn't allow female members...

They only have 300 members...they routinely reject corporate CEOs with more money than God (and rumor has it they even rejected a member of SCOTUS).

I'm waiting to buy a new computer after black Friday. Prices should be rock bottom about then...
