Rensselaer at Boston University 12/11

Re: Rensselaer at Boston University 12/11

Best idea if youre coming from outside of the city. Depending on where youre coming from you can always drive to a D line stop that isnt riverside and park at one of their lots for free then just take it to kenmore and switch out on a b line.

Actually a few D line lots charge, Woodland and Eliot are both around $5 IIRC.

Down by central campus they have two hr limits. Over by HAA and the projects they don't ;)

Yeah, but if you park in a metered spot after 6pm it's free parking until 9am the next morning. West campus spots tend to get pretty full around gametime and unless you get a good spot traffic after isn't always pleasant. There are almost always spots on Cummington St. which is a 15-20 minute walk to the rink, but barely 3 minutes from the BU East or Central T stops which is not even a 5 minute ride to HAA.

*snicker*
Listen to everyone give their B- grade parking advice. You guys aren't saving the best spots for yourselves, are you?

but if you turn past sullivan tire or behind sunset or even T anthony's that is all free on street. peeps tend to not turn there for some reason.

I admire him for wanting to play, but if he aggravated it, discretion is definitely the better part of valor. We'll (hopefully) win one for the gipper, and he'll be ready to go for World Juniors.

Re: Rensselaer at Boston University 12/11

Great. It's still a non-conference game, so I would like to go up against the best of whatever they've got.

We don't have a "best" goaltender at the moment. We have two very talented goaltenders both playing mediocre hockey at the moment, and both getting left out to dry by their defense.

Re: Rensselaer at Boston University 12/11

Sounds just like our team. Will be interesting to see who comes out on top. My guess - RPI :D

Re: Rensselaer at Boston University 12/11

The USCHO ECAC columnist "optimistically" picked RPI to win 4-3. That's an interesting adverb to use considering that he is a BU grad.

I guess that he figured that a loss will help BU get a better draft pick. :D

Will York be in goal?

Given our recent streak of TV games and which goalie plays, I say that Merriam gets the nod. For most of last year's TV games, York played in net (exception being Freakout of course). For AIC, Merriam was in net.

I fail to follow the logic of your deductions.

In quite a few of the TV games last year, York (who was the backup goalie at the time) started. Alford (who I guess you consider was the backup goalie at the time, seeing as how Lange got most of the play time the previous year) started many of the televised games from 2 years ago. This year for our televised games so far (though only 1), Merriam has started.

Got it. :)

Well, one of them did play in and win a national championship game.
