Rensselaer at Boston University 12/11

Re: Rensselaer at Boston University 12/11

Even though the injured players will be missed, I think other forwards will pick up the tap. There are still a bunch of good forwards who can score, and who can make good plays. They have all the motivation in the world to win this one. I'm much more concerned with the defense, but again, I think they also will step up their game. I 'm hoping Meriam is in goal. I think it will help the defense get out of the rut they have been in, and I think it's also good for a healthy competition between York and Meriam. I'm sure Appert was furious Wednesday night. My prediction is 4-2 RPI :)

Re: Rensselaer at Boston University 12/11

Well, one of them did play in and win a national championship game.

Yes, but his stats for this season sit at 3.48 GAA with a save percentage of .865. Not exactly last year's Kieran Millan.

Re: Rensselaer at Boston University 12/11

I stay away for a few days and the BU-RPI thread is five pages. Wacky.

BU needs someone to go nuts tonight. (Nick hattie?) A beer for everyone if a Terrier gets a hat trick tonight. :)

Don't forget your teddy bear.

Re: Rensselaer at Boston University 12/11

The USCHO ECAC columnist "optimistically" picked RPI to win 4-3. That's an interesting adverb to use considering that he is a BU grad.

I guess that he figured that a loss will help BU get a better draft pick. :D
I've seen BU win a title recently, and I know that they ain't got squat this year. I love the ECAC, and I'm willing to sacrifice a handful of my alma mater's games if it elevates the reputation of ECAC Hockey. (I wouldn't pull for the league over my alma mater in a big-time game, but here? Go for it, 'Tute.)

 Ya know, now is when your alma mater needs your support thankyouverymuch. Sheesh.

Re: Rensselaer at Boston University 12/11

Alex Angers-Goulet had two tallies for RPI last time out vs. BU. If he skates the way he did on Wednesday, he could do it again. :D

Re: Rensselaer at Boston University 12/11

I just found out the game will be broadcast on NESN and I'm hoping in HD. Christmas just moved up two weeks. Sure beats B2. Let's go 'tute.

I don't think beating this decrepit BU squad would improve the ECAC's rep. :D

Re: Rensselaer at Boston University 12/11

For anyone who can't make it to tonight's game, we'll be live blogging.

Sweet, thanks.

I'm looking forward to actually relaxing and listening to a game, rather than being stressed out in the production booth.

I'd like to get my hands on a copy of the NESN broadcast for review purposes, anyone able to record it?

Mr. Hamilton. I can't record it tonight but these games are often replayed the following day. If that is the case then I'll see what I can do. Hopefully someone else can give you a better promise than this one as I got a busy weekend ahead. I'll let you know.

Re: Rensselaer at Boston University 12/11

Tickets are 24$, plus ticketmaster fees if you buy them there. You should be able to get them at the box office day of game though.
We must be a premium opponent because I just bought tickets at the arena box office and they are $26 each.
