It must be because the last time BU was at Houston, it was a sellout. Though I doubt a difference in rink would call for a difference in policy, who knows?

He has actually performed quite well and is highly ranked amongst rookie defensemen. However he was on the ice for the 2 goals against in their most recent game with Chicago that they lost in OT and I guess he paid the price for it.

Yeah, it's been mentioned in both the BU season thread and in the Alumni forum.

Is the NESN broadcast a last second add on or was it planned all this time and I completely missed it? Either is a definite possibility. :)

I have to say, and I mean this as a sincere compliment, you RPI folks sure are chatty. I like seeing a lot of discussion!

BU landed a deal w/ NESN just before the start of the season that included 3 games in addition to Friday Night Hockey -- the Nov. 21 game against UNH, tonight's game and the Jan. 23 game vs. UNH.

Do you have any insight as to whether or not UNH has a similar deal? They have been on NESN a lot this season...

:) I know!! I always see your game threads started before noon. I'm hoping to participate posting from the game if my Blackberry battery has not run out.

So both of my questions were more or less yes. It was something new (kinda) and I totally missed it! Oh well. I haven't had much luck when I program the TiVo to record so it's just as well that I didn't do it for tonight.

I'm not sure, but I would have to say yes. They had the BC and NU games both on NESN, and if both BU and UNH had a deal, that would explain why two non-Friday BU-UNH games are on NESN.

There is an official unofficial rule that the game thread can only be started on game day. If you've checked any of the game threads, you'll see that Ralph keeps statistics on RPI's record during the threads that each poster starts. So, when we're on a win streak, there's a rush at 12:01 to get the first post and keep the luck going for the team.

I have to give props to the RPI fans as I can't believe this thread is already on it's 6th page.

Princeton fans? Not so much. I don't think they exist on USCHO.

There are some Princeton fans here, although not many. When you get down to it, Cornell is the only Ivy with a lot of fans, and most of them stay on http://elf.elynah.com/.

Wish I could go tonight, I think this will be a good game, as both teams have something to prove.

I'll have to settle for going to Hartford to watch Gilroy, and reading the game thread on my blackberry.

I don't even get NESN (and they claim CT is in New England?), so I can't record it. :(
