Heard an interesting interview on NPR with a gay priest. He believed that one of the key ideas that led to this endorsement was the idea that all people should be part of a family and have the opportunity to have children. There are a ton of conservative Catholics who will lose their poop if Catholic adoption agencies start considering gay couples.

Bigots are starting to lose top cover for their hatred.

The real loons are the African churches, which is the only place ill-educated enough that Catholicism is still growing. And the African churches are in turn cross-pollinating with American fundy idiots. The stupidest people in the US are making common cause with the stupidest people in the rest of the world.

The African churches are why United Methodists refused to affirm sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression. Had huge support here in the States, but fundies campaigned to the African Churches and shut it down.
 
There's a megachurch in Grandville (MI) that's hosted Charlie Kirk, Eric Trump, and other right wing events. Would I like to see said church obliterated with Hellfire missiles? Yes.

I'm just waiting for ResLife Church in Grandville to have another rally. Bring Charlie Kirk, Eric Trump, Don Jr, etc. Bring Kayleigh, bring all the disgraced losers. Pack the place.
 
I have no idea why One Million Moms or Michelle Bachmann receive so much coverage. One Million Moms is basically 42 white women all named Karen.

If Christians had stuck to the gospels they would have been fine. But, instead, they needed a conservative nutjob like Paul to tell them what Jesus said so they could discriminate against other people freely.
