Re: Religion: Catholics, Episcopalians, Atheists, All Are Welcome!

If we rejected all religion the world would be better off.

Something that makes me smile: EVERY UK venue has canceled Franklin Graham's appearance there.

And in this country, I wish media would go to people like Rev. Jen or Pastor Beth instead of *******s like him every time they need a religious opinion.

I wish it would ignore religious opinion altogether.

This. "For more on the coronavirus we now go to people suffering with a mental illness."

Re: Religion: Catholics, Episcopalians, Atheists, All Are Welcome!

I also wish, even as an Episcopalian, that we would do away with the National Prayer Breakfast.

See if you can spot the moment where this goes from run of the mill religious stupidity to plaid.

The headline?

Look, I fully admit I have grown to hate the Catholic Church (to the point I hate capitalizing it), but seriously...?

The fact that the church acts like this is obviously disgusting, but it always has and I'm used to it. I am referring to something very specific.

There are more than a few thirty-something women undergoing in-vitro and skipping the part where a dude puts his d1ck in her. I can't imagine why. :p

And yet, somehow, the church is so fixated on their "traditional values" of a woman as a man's personal property that they fire this woman. A woman bringing a baby into the world.

So much for their "culture of life."

Agreed, her story is insane.

I want to read the justification. IINM in vitro has been perfectly acceptable for the church for the last 30 years, for married women. So it's for her inviting being a single mother? Lighten up, Francis!

Only about 500 million or so bad apples have spoiled it for the rest of us men...
