A former Pennsylvania pastor convicted of assaulting and impregnating a teen girl has been charged for arranging the killings of a judge and pastor while being lodged at SCI Laurel Highlands, according to a criminal complaint.
Authorities say 37-year-old Jacob Malone began sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl in 2014 while he was the youth pastor of a church in Chester County, according to NBC affiliate WCAU.
According to WCAU, Malone was arrested after fleeing the country.
He later pleaded guilty to institutional sexual assault and was denied a lighter sentencing after a plea agreement by Chester County Judge Jacqueline Cody, who called the circumstances “way too serious,” according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
According to a criminal complaint, Malone was serving his sentence at SCI Laurel Highlands in Somerset County.
State police say they received a report Feb. 18 that Malone was attempting to arrange the murders of Cody and the current pastor of the church where he used to work for their roles in putting him behind bars.
