In public forum, towards a kid who has openly struggled with mental health, is just not a low we should stoop to. Sure he took $100k to leave, you would’ve too cause I’m 99% positive you didn’t play 4 years at Quinnipiac.

Also should be asked what 20 year old college kid is going to turn down 100K?? That's more than an AHL salary

Watched it on loop ten times yesterday…it will never get old! Not one more Frozen Four will be played without that video shown in the arena before the games….not a single one

I'm not even sure the $100K was in relation to him. I believe Rand said they lost a kid to another school over $100, so it could also have been a recruit, from my reading.

Lost one to BC I believe.

As far as Smilanic goes, I don't think he was a good fit at Quinnipiac. Seemed to not play within the system. After his injury at the World Juniors he was never the same. Most of all, he never lived up to his billing. It happens. If he did get an NLI deal at Wisconsin, good for him (bad for them). I suspect he was not the one Rand talked about.

That's for certain. I also expect it to be in the pregame video selection at the Bank. It will likely surpass Cliffy's crushing hit against NoDak and Toews kissing the Cup as the fan favorite!

Not to mention the Quinnipiac National Champion banner that will hang with the 23 other school championship banners at every Frozen Four moving forward!

Next year that glorious banner makes its debut in St. Paul.....MINNESOTA!
 
Caught myself rewatching highlights, interviews, and The Jet for about an hour tonight.

It's still just as ridiculous four weeks later.

I think the goal should forever be known as "The Jet". Plenty of programs/franchises have their own "The Goal" but there is only one "The Jet"!!!
 
Hey so do you guys remember that time we won the national title? I know it seems like yesterday, but it was OVER A MONTH AGO.

This is the best. Nary a day goes by I don't watch The Jet.
 
The Brind'Amour family half way there to the Frozen Four/Stanley Cup Championships in the same year. Another potential win for CT since they are really the Whalers.
