Nice effort against a clearly inferior opponent. A little sloppy at times with a few mental mistakes and Shortridge stood tall.

RPI could not get any sustained zone time. And they couldn't stop our breakout or counter our speed.

They'll need to be sharper tomorrow and play a more disciplined game.

As long as they play like that in the defensive end they will win a lot of games this year.

This is a .500 team, cannot string 2 good games together, and I hate to admit that to myself, as I was hoping for a surprisingly inspired top 20 team effort to take care of business, but like I sometimes do to Rand, I over rated this team.....the next few weeks should show us who the real 2018-19 team is.... i think we already see the past 2 Saturdays.

Might be time to give more opportunities to a andrew Shortridge going forward. .971 save percentage vs .890 for Petruzzelli.

Petruzzelli was not on his game tonight. After last night I was surprised that Shortie didn't get the start. KP gave up 3 soft goals that would have changed the complexion of the game had he made the saves.

What I saw tonight from the team was mental fatigue. They were skating hard all night but weren't making good decisions. By the time the 3rd started they weren't getting any puck luck either and that made them press harder. When that happens the team struggles. Also, as a Union fan so eloquently said at the end of the game, they got outcoached too.

Still, it's only loss #2 and no need to panic. A couple weekends on the road might do the team good.

We're going to say this all year long. Young teams struggle with consistency.

And yes, at some point Shortridge is going to start becoming the clear No. 1, especially if the numbers continue to be so stark.

I agree. Quinnipiac at its best 2013-2016 rode one goaltender all the way whether it was Hartzell to Garteig. Thats the way I would roll.

The last couple years weak goaltending has altered the confidence of team in front of them...KP looked tonight like a high wire act...still think this years team has the horses but needs confidence in net

Couldn't agree more. Not going with Shortridge last night after his performance against RPI is a head scratcher. Compared to the Dartmouth game, the team was much better in front of KP but U's 3rd goal really deflated the effort.

Plus, while I love honoring our veterans by wearing the camo's, our record when we do is not very good.

Dan Nybondas is no longer with the program. He headed by to Finland to play professional hockey.

Good luck against Cornell. Stay out of the penalty box. Because of lack of experience you made some coverage mistakes against us that cost you dearly. The game was much closer than the score. Take it to Cornell !!!! Forecheck !!!
