The energy was really good. Very scrappy and didn’t give BC much open ice. And they kept it up for 60 minutes. Looking forward to seeing if they can do that in back to back games this weekend.

Hopefully they won't play down to the opponent. If they play with the same intensity as last night they'd be tough to beat.

I have to agree. I think a lot of people are thinking this is going to be a rehash of last years team. I think there are going to be a lot of people surprised. This team I think has a lot of potential.

Without a doubt the skill is there. The question is whether they can keep their heads in the game. The freshman have all been impressive so far. And the upper class men are being pushed to do better as a result. After only 3 games there is a much different (better) feel to this team.

Quickness with team work is what I see that was not there last season, except in spurts. Playing opponents as unheralded, unranked is a bit different from being a touted, ranked opponent. Success can be heavier to carry forward so I am optimistic because the optics do favor very positive trends and a few hops over the stick by BC skater on open net changes this most recent top 20 ranking.

Great point on not playing down to competition, many teams have that potential and these next few weeks will be more interesting as they begin the ECAC schedule.

In 24 hours, the first matches of the conference schedule will be over and you will no longer be able to enter the ECAC Pick the Standings contest (or change your picks if you already entered). It takes very little time to enter, so head on over to the thread and make your pick!

They sure didn't play like a 4-1 win. Pretty good 1st but sloppy 2nd & 3rd. They let AIC hang around far too long. Luckily, Shortie was on his game and made the saves when he had to. Need to be better tomorrow night going for the sweep.

What a great start to the season!
After last night, I was real happy to see them come out hard and play all 60 minutes. Everything looked real good tonight. I am looking forward to see how they do in ECAC play.

I haven't been able to make it CT. for any games yet. Hopefully we will be in Hamden for the next home weekend.

Great tune-up prior to league play. Lots of points put up by lots of players is always good to see. Need to realize AIC had terrible goal tending so we still have to pepper the net.

Overall, I think the team has gelled quicker than anyone anticipated. I haven't seen anyone on the ice that looked like they didn't belong there... a good sign for such a young team.

Bring on the ECAC foes...
