Quinnipiac Bobcats 2018-19 - Let's shuffle off to Buffalo

Defense has been good. KP seems to have gained some confidence.

Going to need everyone to give everything they have over the next 2 weekends.

Big weekend ! Will be good test for team and goaltending. Princeton will challenge defense and goalie with speed and shots.

Agreed. They have the two best offensive players in this game by far in Kuffner and Veronneau but I think Quinnipiac has the better overall offensive depth. Princeton lost Hallisey and Robinson from a season ago and they had 38 and 31 points respectively. Princeton has really good special teams. #1 PK and #2 PP. Its a must to stay disciplined and out of the box.

Rand said at the pre season booster event that they've got North Dakota scheduled in the coming seasons

Glad to hear we will be playing North Dakota in the coming years. Hope its a 2 way deal.

Great win tonight! I think that is as good as they have played all year.
I was pretty impressed by Lombardi tonight. He seemed to be in the right place at the right time often.

It was as good as they've played all year. A complete effort. Shortridge again was stellar after being terrible in warm-ups. I wondered if the news from Anchorage (his hometown) was affecting him. But he was solid all night. Defense was amazing, limiting Princeton's time and space, and keeping their big dogs at bay. Got plenty of looks offensively but Ferland was solid for the Tigers. Priske's blast was never seen, and Davidson's deflected of Ferland's shoulder.

I thought it was a very good game by both sides. Both teams were fast and skilled. I think the biggest difference was Princeton had a lot of trouble corralling their passes all night... seemed many were behind their targets.

Hopefully we can duplicate the effort tomorrow at Hobey Baker.

It seemed like QU came out a little tentative in the early stages. Maybe it was the Frosh hearing too much about PU's recent success, maybe it was all the talk about the Veronnea line. Yet the upperclassman stepped up, settled it down after that first PK and then the QU depth took over later in the game. That Veronnea line is very good, yet so is the back end combo of Priske-Cukste and Shortridge. Essentially pros against pros at that point. QU depth surprised me. While PU is double shifting, Rand keeps running 3 and occasionally 4 lines at them, while making sure his back end was always up to speed. Impressive from both a player and coaching standpoint. Now the kids have confidence against this team so last change shouldn't have the impact tonight in NJ as it would have last night. Fun stuff!

Awesome weekend! Too bad my ESPN+ feed dies at the start of the 2nd, but it sounded like they took it to Princeton and survived for the sweep.

Bring on UMass...

Yes, Great weekend. I think it safe to say this team is the real deal. Cant wait to see how things go against UMASS next week. I hope to make it up there Friday.

ESPN+ going down was certainly a bummer

They certainly are resilient and don't quit... a far cry from last season. The freshmen continue to impress me with their skill and hockey sense, and the upper classmen are definitely carrying this team just like they should.

Yeah... if they're going to have issues, why can't it be on a Wednesday instead of Saturday night? Seems like it was a system-wide outage as I couldn't get anything to play. Definitely a bummer because the 2nd & 3rd sounded exciting.

Wow, what a heavyweight toe-to-toe match! This team is for real....they just keep coming at you. Not going to overwhelm anyone with their physical size, but their physical play, speed, passing is superb. I think this team is going very far. Princeton played great with their Verroneau line and Teves' on D kept the action on both ends at very high level. Princeton had 3 goals waved off this weekend and that would have changed both games. Not saying they would've beat Q but it would've changed. Tonight's 2 were interesting enough to want to look at the replay, if I had one....a wobbler KP scooped out, and I saw KP's blade clearly behind the line but it is very plausible the puck was wobbling over the line but not past it....and the other was a scrum in front of KP, bodies all over the ice and then the puck sailed into the net but also waved off due to whistle no one in the stands heard...OK, none of these calls impacted the game, the team played great! Possibly the best Q team in years..Special Teams here were amazing...several Penalty Kills made the difference...seemed like Princeton was on PP a lot!! This is the best 8th place team's mid season I have seen in few years since Providence came from nowhere...This year folks is a different coaching staff and different level of preparation...this team does not takes its foot off opposing teams and does not find comfort in winning 1 of 2. I cannot wait to see this team face Union and Dartmouth next time around!! This was an exhausting game to watch the sustained intensity from start to finish....this is one of those rare teams that has the talent and the depth and they play together and genuinely like each other - - you can see the calm in Rand and the staff and the team!! Teams will scout Quinnipiac harder and I do see the 2nd half schedule quite a challenge - - these guys are the real deal and the best part about all of this is the pipeline behind these guys..we may see a run of a few year of great hockey! Hopefully, for Rand and the staff - - another Frozen Four !!

We lost the Yale feed as well.

We lost the Yale feed as well.

It looks like it was system wide. I have watched a few games now and I'm not impressed with the feed. It is very laggy. It's like its in slow motion and then jumps ahead super fast. I thought it might be my connection but I had no problem last year with any of the games and this year had none with the RPI feed and I run Netflix and Amazon prime with no problems. Sp don't think its on my end but who knows. Its cheap but you get what you pay for.

Streaming quality on Friday was not great, it was good but not high quality HD....

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2018-19 - Let's shuffle off to Buffalo

should be a full (and fun) crowd for friday's game with #1 coming to town. carvel's slu teams always played us tough, but some of that was also kyle hayton. i'll be checking out both games in person and think it will be some fast and fun hockey.
