Quinnipiac Bobcats 2016-17 - It's 873 miles to Chicago...

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2016-17 - It's 873 miles to Chicago...

Andrew Shortridge is starting tonight in net. Rand confirmed it on the pipeline show out of Edmonton.

Priskie out of the lineup. Rand says a couple of weeks which leads to me it could be a possible concussion.

No surprise there... my guess is Rand is going to use a 2-man rotation until one of them stands on their head.

That's a big loss, but I think we have enough depth to make up for it. Plus, it'll be good to get Chase back for league play.

I watched the first 2 periods of BU vs Sacred Heart last night and have to say I wasn't terribly impressed with the Terriers. They had more skill than SHU but let the Pioneers hang around most of the 1st and into the second. Seems they lit it up in the 3rd but they just weren't as potent as I expected them to be.

That doesn't mean we can take them lightly tonight, but I think we'll match up well against them. I'm hoping for a close, exciting game.

Go Q!

While I agree with you that they let SH hang around, BU won the game 7-0. Did they have to win 10-0 to impress you? ;):p

BU has a lot of talent but is the youngest team in the country with much of that talent with 17/18 year old freshmen. It is going to take some time for them to put it all together. Denver definitely showed the team that.

I visited Q when BU played there last season and am looking forward to tonight. I would love to see this be a semi-permanent series.

^This. It was only 2-0 when I stopped watching and SHU was very much still in the game. I wasn't knocking BU, just stating my observations of the first 40 minutes. I know the Terriers are loaded with talent and that we'll have to bring our best against them.

Outplayed all night long... and an absolutely terrible showing on the power play (0-12). The BU goalie was extremely stout and we couldn't find a way to get the puck past him.

The defense still needs to tighten up and we desperately need to find an offensive spark.

No flow in the game for either team. Whistles every minute. Hockey East officials are awful. Our PP was brutal. Priskie being hurt kills the power play as he is a key cog back there. Shortridge was the one bright spot. Kept Quinnipiac in the game. BU's talent didn't really show up in this game like I thought it would and they are a very undisciplined team.

I have been in the Mediterranean Sea on a 2 week cruise visiting and eating my way around Italy, Spain, Portugal, France and Gibraltar(UK). I come back and with less than one week to go before RPI and Union kick off the ECAC campaign and I find only 22 contestants. Come on people. You have until Friday at 7PM to get your picks in or amend your previous picks. If doing an amendment just give me a new post with your revised picks and state that they are revised.
