Quinnipiac Bobcats 2016-17 - It's 873 miles to Chicago...

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2016-17 - It's 873 miles to Chicago...

Let's hope the team shows some bounce back tonight. Will go along way to see what this team is made of.

Terrible job clearing the defensive zone all weekend. Also feels like Maine was rushing through the neutral zone all night with no resistance.

Whew... ugly but a win is a win. Lot's to work on. Defense, which I thought would be our strength, needs to fix whatever ails them.

Nice to get the win but 3rd blown 3rd period of the season in 4 games is not good. They really need to fix the defense and fast.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2016-17 - It's 873 miles to Chicago...

As I said prior to the season the loss of Reid Cashman may be something to watch with the defense.
I'll concede... you may be right. Priske, Cukste, and Rafferty seem ok but the other 3 seem to get lost out there. Connor just isn't playing his game at all. I wonder if that C on his chest is having a part in that. It seems like guys change their games when they wear C's or A's.

Shortridge looked OK tonight. Made some good saves but left a few too many rebounds. Maine's 1st goal was not his fault... that guy was all alone at the side of the net without a blue shirt within 10 feet of him. The 2nd was a gaggle of bodies in front. Had some help from the iron too. At least he didn't look like a liability. He and Truehl can push each other and each will be better for it.

It was good to see them battle and take the win. That alone should build some confidence (and make the long bus ride home a little easier). Quick turnaround to Wednesday's tilt against UConn, then Saturday at BU. Gonna be a rough week but I think they'll put it together.

Quinnipiac hockey is the only program in the country with 2 2002's (verbally) committed already in Jake Quillan & Victor Czerneckianair.

Fantastic weekend series in Orono! Love seeing two teams who work as hard as Q and Maine. Wish I could have the pleasure of watching these two teams go at it again next weekend. Good luck rest of the way!

Go Blue!!

We'll be up there as well. Going up around 4:00. We will be with the large Uconn tailgate ambulance, my cousin's baby. I'll have my Danny Federico jersey on if its not too hot.
