UMass and Vermont will compete in the 2016 Friendship Four in Belfast, per a release from Hockey East.

The tournament will also include Quinnipiac and St. Lawrence.

Northern Ireland trip next year.

2016 Friendship Four in Belfast will be Nov. 25-26. UMass, Vermont, St. Lawrence and Quinnipiac. League games first night, like this year.

Already looked at flights... $1068 (From San Francisco)

Belfast or Dublin? I know some Lowell fans flew into Dublin and spent a few days there before taking the train to Belfast. I believe all the schools offered some sort of travel package for a week long stay. Unfortunately I couldn't make the trip but everything I heard about the trip / tournament was positive and first class.

Yeah that was into Belfast. Dublin would probably be a bit cheaper. That actually makes for an amazing sounding trip.

Can your boss charter a private flight for a group of us - stop by new haven on the way through?

That guy doesn't even allow cars to be sold to rude bloggers... I doubt he would be nice to a knuckle dragging robotics technician.

Some work to do this weekend (and some help needed), but QU can clinch at least a share of the ECAC regular season title this weekend if they can emerge from the weekend with an 8 point lead over the pack.

Some work to do this weekend

The team has a lot of work to do, in my eyes. There are passes that should be connecting at this point in the season, that guys are either over skating or just plan mishandling. The only one consistently playing really well is Anas. Besides the 6 goals in that Colgate game the boys looked out of sync and matched by 'Gate.

Good... good...

Clarkson's playing as well as I've seen them play, and with confidence at a level I haven't seen since 2008. The team that came off the ice at RPI is not the same team that stepped on to the ice the last time I saw them play (at Quinnipiac) - they're better. If they play like they did against RPI, Q-Pac is going to have their hands full. Might still win, but it ought to be one hell of a game. I'm sad I can't watch it.

Quinnipiac hasn't had to many "walk in the park" games versus any ECAC opponent this year. But then again Quinnipiac has the unfortunate ability to play to the level of their competition. What I am waiting to see is that team that played against St. Cloud again. But like we have been saying all season, if us playing bad equates to ties we will take that all day as fans.

To be fair, back then our freshmen were still an "unknown". Since then opposing teams have done their homework and found ways to stifle parts of our game. We've been able to overcome almost all threats along the way but now is not the time to rely on that. The boys need a breakout game to set the tone for the end run. They've got the talent so it's just a matter of taking care of business.

I also think a huge key to this is Garteig. He needs to step up and steal a few. He's been good but not great... we need him great. The team needs him great. We'll be facing some of the best goalies in the league (and the country) over the next 3 weekends. We need those teams to face one of best as well.

But like we have been saying all season, if us playing bad equates to ties we will take that all day as fans.
The ties have been nice and all, but I have to admit that Friday's Cornell game really bothered me. That tie felt like a loss because we definitely left a point out on the ice. Heading down the stretch and into the post season we need to make a statement. Take no prisoners.

You are absolutely correct... That Cornell game should have been a win, you win the games you are supposed to win and that was one of them!

I'm glad the hockey team is so good, because I watched the basketball team on ESPN3 last night, and ... yeah. Let's not speak about it too much, shall we.

Hoping for a 4-pt weekend. They have everything they need to get it done. Time to make a statement boys!

Go Q!

I feel like that's the exact same speech being given in the Clarkson locker room, hah.
