Bush-league production. A friend called it woeful but laughable. They cut from the studio to the rink 12 seconds into the game and by then, there already was a penalty. Then it missed five minutes of play due to technical difficulties. Two studio guys were clueless – one was named Andres and better suited for soccer. Everyone flip-flopped on the Quinnipiac pronunciation.

At first intermission they posted the ECAC scoreboard and Yale was spelled “Yake.” Is Yale that hard to spell?

Being 3000 miles away from Quinnipiac I will take anything I can get. I will agree with you on those studio guys, pretty boy is more of a sideline reporter.

YALE BEATEN

This is a really, really good hockey team. So much depth. But perhaps the most impressive part is the defensive end. Yale had how many Grade A chances? Less than five? Remarkable defensive performance. So excited for the rest of this season, because this team has earned its ranking. Frankly, they've earned even better than No. 2/No. 3.

I've had QU #1 for a few weeks. The sweep over St. Cloud is looking better and better each week.

Quick turnaround and a short trip up 95 for a 4:00 start at Brown.

The day-after-Yale Brown game always makes me nervous and today is no exception, maybe more so with the early start. This team has shown several times they can play through adversity so maybe I'm worried for nothing. I think as long as they didn't leave everything down at Ingalls they'll be fine.

Strong play up front, solid D, and a rock in net. Bring home another win boys.

Go Q!

[Garts is the best goalie to ever wear blue & gold. Hartzell was good because of the team in front of him. Garteig is carrying this team.]

Hartzell had a special season but from a career standpoint, I don't think that can be argued and his numbers speak for themselves. Save for the fact that we are only half way through this one, time will tell who's single season performance comes out on top. Garteig is very, very good. Extremely efficient, doesn't waste and ounce of energy. The media loved Hartzell, don't know why Garteig doesn't find the same love. As someone who wore #34 when it said "Braves" on the front, I hope he gets the recognition he's due when its all said and done.

Rewatching the game. Pretty weak overall. Guys calling the game aren't horrendous. Studio guys are the worst I've ever seen. As for the game, the Connor Clifton minor when he came out of the box was not a penalty. No contact to the head, clean hit on a clueless Yale frosh. Also, MacMaster is lucky he didn't get a five. So reckless at a time that it wasn't needed. Not a very heady player. Anywho, good win. Today will be an even bigger challenge in a definitive trap game.

Studio guys mispronounced Anas, St. Denis, Garteig, and that's just in the time I was paying attention. Aside from all the other stuff (their studio production crew was a nightmare, too), that was some awful television by ASN. Do your freakin' research.

Just as an example: They put up the final box score after the game in the studio show, but didn't update the teams' records. Ridiculous. Also in the pre-game show, they show a lower-third graphic of Garteig's stats, but the logo was not Quinnipiac, it was FIU or someone. Just an absurdly poor production. Game coverage was fine -- Tom Caron is really solid -- but man, did they pull that studio host in off the street?

Anyways ... I've been to that mausoleum in Providence, it's no wonder the Bobcats always struggle there when they play right after or before the Yale game. That place is a tomb. Hopefully it doesn't cost us our streak.

Go Bobcats!

I'm watching the relay as I type. ASN won't be around long if they keep that up. Those studio guys need to go... the whole studio show is laughable. Total minor league production.

If the crowds in Hartford and Ingalls are any indication, there should be a good showing by the blue & gold. That should help the boys keep their focus on the task at hand.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - Another journey begins...

Brown's Ivy League Digital Network telecast has already trumped last night's coverage and the game hasn't started yet. Now that I say that I'm sure it'll cut out. Oh well, poop is brown. Defeat poop.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - Another journey begins...

All I will say about ASN is that the Studios are in West Palm Beach. I don't expect them to know anything about what is going on in CT.

Sounds like they are getting outplayed so far today.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - Another journey begins...

They need to check the white balance on the camera. Looks like they're playing in sunlight and Meehan ain't that bright insude.

Brown's hanging tough but I wouldn't call it outplaying us. We need to possess more down low and wear out the Bears who are skating only 5 D.

Brown has a 2-1 edge in possession (shot attempts are 18-9). With the exception of the goal and the last shift of the period, Q has been on the back foot throughout.

Not anymore. First half of the game, I'll give to Bruno. Last 10 minutes have been a clinic. Great feed from MacMaster on goal #2. Pretty goal for #3. Aldworth is skating well. Don't think he liked sitting last night.

It was a nice message Rand sent to Aldworth last night. You need to do that from time to time.

Yeah Reid mentioned it in the post game a few games back when Martin played and Aldy sat. Keeping em hungry. Kid has endless potential. Has to bring it every game. And speaking of endless potential, Landon Smith is looking more like the Landon of last year this weekend more so than he did through the first 10+ games this year. I like spotting Garteig 3 goals.
