I've covered a few games at the XL Center and that is indeed the end the visitors shoot at twice. UConn's student section is behind the other zone.

I have to work late tomorrow, so I will miss most of the game :(
Do they still have the games available "On Demand" immediately after the game ends?

Usually its immediately after but if not its almost always available the next morning.

Huge game tonight between a couple of top-10's. Good test for both teams. Hopefully the students show up and don't sit on their hands.

Defense will need to pull it all together and Garteig needs to be a wall. Offense needs to keep putting pucks on net. Take it to the Crimson!

Harvard has a lot of playmakers - we need to be disciplined and stay out of the penalty box against a team like this.

Not holding back any punches, the student section is terrible. There is that small contingent of what appears to be rowdy kiddos to the goalie's right but that's it. They sit, they appear bored, they leave early, it's embarrassing. If it wasn't for the band, who has gotten better and better, the student section would be a non factor. The leaving early and attempts to get everyone to stand has always been an issue going back to my time in the student section but it's at an all time low. It's great to get up for the Yale game and make that into a spectacle. But the Yale game has clearly turned into a social event at the school with a hockey game coming second. If hockey was paramount, we wouldn't see a fraction of those Yale game students at other home games. I'm hopeful they'll be out in full force tonight and I don't doubt that it will appear full, but churches also appear full at times and I'm pessimistically expecting a similar sound. Wake up kids, you got a special thing going on. Hockey is the only major sport at the school with a shot at winning anything important, rally around that.

In all seriousness, completely agree with this post. I actually thought last year's student section was pretty good for the most part. I have only been to two games this year, so it is hard for me to say definitively, but they were pretty weaksauce for the the St. Cloud games. The optimist in me says that they will recognize how big tonight's game is, but the realist thinks it will just be like any other night, with have the section gone by the 10 minute mark in the third.

Frankly, the problem is the kids care more about getting out to start their drinking than cheering for the team. Apparently those 15 extra minutes without booze are just too much to bear.

You're right man. I mean I was no saint in school but there was plenty of time after the games (and before) to hydrate.

On a side note, looks like QU/BU game and the home Yale game will be on SNY. I take full credit.

I am so excited for tonights game. It's killing me not to be able to watch it live :mad: .
They better bring their A game tonight. It will be interesting to see how these two teams match up.

The student section takes a hit every year we get further away from the 2012-2013 season. Hopefully kids start to realize how special this team is and show alittle more fire. I will be at work watching. Really stoked. Honked at a guy witha Harvard sticker on his car yesterday. Unfortunately my horn doesn't yell "Let's go Q." Got to see what the neighborhood car shop can do about that.

This is a great test for Q. There is no more talented and quicker offense in the country. Harvard has a lot of question marks on the defensive side. They haven't faced a skilled offensive team that scores yet. Their defense and goaltender havent been tested, they will tonight. Garteig will have to play well, we CANNOT take stupid penalties, and no more of these defensive end turnovers right in front of the net. Im worried for the third time this year. The other two times it was 2-0 SCSU and 4-1 Cornell. Let's hope for a similiar ending :)
