Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - Another journey begins...

Could someone please explain how the final two goals were scored 1 second apart.

After Harvard scored, the teams lined up for the center ice faceoff with Harvard's net empty. Travis St. Denis won the draw directly back to Timmy Clifton who seemingly one timed the puck into the net from beyond center ice. Pretty cool.

It was announced last night that Quinnipiac recruit Johnny DeRoche is leaving the JR Bruins of the USPHL and heading to play the remainder of the season in the USHL with Cedar Rapids

No let down tonight. They can't afford to look past or play down to Dartmouth. Need a solid effort at both ends.

Go Q!

Good for him. Lets him develop in a higher level league.

6-2 win tonight over Dartmouth tonight but this was a sloppy effort to say the least. Good to be 10-0 to start the year.

Wow! Good but not great effort. Even when they're off they find a way. Just remarkable.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2015-16 - Another journey begins...

Good teams can win when they don't have their best. Off night to start but after the major they dictated everything. 10-0 wow! Best start in D1 history for the Q. Ties best start in program history. We've also now won 7 straight at home against Dartmouth and are 11-2 against the Green since the opening of the Bank. Our lines and bodies are as interchangeable as any team we've ever had. Cash made it seem like the Aldworth scratch was routine, more of an opportunity for Martin. To be able to do that is amazing. Can't wait for the Huskies Tuesday in a game that's got me a little uneasy. Bobcats bring their B game and they should win but ya gotta think Uconn will be fired up.

I think with out a doubt this is the deepest team we've ever had. Think about guys like Sherbnin who played the last two years and now doesn't even play. That speaks to how deep this team is. The only comparison is to the 12-13 team but I'd take Davidson/Clifton/Jonzzon any day. I heard someone say Quinnipiac is peaking too early. The people that are saying that don't watch every game they just throw comments out. This team has a lot of room to improve and I think we all acknowledge that as well as Pecknold and Jonzzon in the postgame. D can be cleaned up but Gartsy has been phenomenal.

The UConn game does scare me, but at least its not in Bridgeport, where we cant buy a win. I also expect us to not be the #1 team in the poll cause the team that couldnt beat BU, the team that lost to RPI, and the team that lost to Wisconsin and tied Maine "deserve it" more than us. Fine by me. Keep the boys hungry

One of our better d recruits in luke shill doesn't play either and neither does versatile forward/dmen joe Fiala. This team is way deeper than the 12-13 team in my view.

I'll take number 1 in the pairwise instead.

As a PC fan, Quinnipiac's resume blows away everyone else right now. Doesn't matter who is number 1 till the end of the Frozen Four

Absolutely agree that it doesn't matter. At the same time, it never hurts to hear your boss say your the top in sales in the company..

Up to #3 in the USCHO poll and #2 in the USA Today poll.

I know it doesn't matter but to have BC ranked over them at this point is stupid (better PWR ranking, more top 10 wins) Oh well. It's meaningless. But kudos USA Today voters who got it right. I have no issue with a Providence team who hasn't lost since last year being ranked ahead of them at this point, however.

Also taking issue with a RPI Engineers team thats 4-0-2 in their last six and have a resumé that includes beating that same BC team that everyone is blowing NOT entering the Top 20.

This week in "fun with the transitive property" - i give you the BC edition:

American international beat robert morris, who beat michigan, who beat rpi, who beat bc

Az state beat alaska, who beat rpi, who beat (you guessed it) bc

This clearly demonstrates that AZ State and AIC are better than BC :p

Not that it matters because it's a stupid poll in November, but the fact that you guys aren't #1 in the country this week is absurd. A perfect record, three wins over top-10 teams and a win over a top-20 team are much more impressive than what Providence and Boston College have done.
