Quinnipiac Bobcats 2011 Offseason

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2011 Offseason

Thanks. I noticed his (Jordan Samuels-Thomas) transfer yesterday. Winnipeg Jets draft choice that was a pretty good offensive player at Bowling Green. Nice to have someone who is from Connecticut play for Quinnipiac.

Luke (Allnightwong) – your blog is great.

Thanks. Trying to get that thing some notoriety. Couldn't be happier with JST transfer. Just don't wanna wait the transfer year :(.

I'd also like to state that I'm enjoying reading the high-quality writing that you're putting up. It's always good to see the league through another team's fans' eyes.

And, with regard to Samuels-Thomas, as a fan of a team that also picked up a BGSU transfer... you will not be disappointed. Waiting one year will seem like small potatoes when you see the kind of numbers that he'll be able to put up.

I was just having the same thought. Great numbers, and ours is a defenseman :D

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2011 Offseason

I would when you are playing on a team that was that bad. Led team in scoring as fresh and soph. Would have twice+ as many if on a top team. 6'3" and over 220. Will eat up ECAC. Very good pick up
...must have had one heck of a growth spurt considering he was 6'2" 190 last year.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2011 Offseason

Ah yes, the annual coach extension, given to Moore, Fabbri, Pecknold, and Seeley every single summer.

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2011 Offseason

"Pecknold signs extension through '15-16. Mixed feelings, but I think it's the right move. "

Reward for another great season!

Re: Quinnipiac Bobcats 2011 Offseason

So now Renfrew has moved on to Nebraska-Omaha...

Yeah closer to home I suppose but not much closer. I sense something else was at play with his quick nice to know ya exit at the Q. I also find it funny that regardless of the article I've read about it, no one seems to be mentioning that he accepted the position at Quinnipiac. It wasn't idle speculation that he'd come here...he accepted the job and then backed out. Oh well...let's just beat him on the 30th and 31st and December.

Very happy with the announcement. Reid brings character, experience all over the professional circuit and leadership. These are all things that should translate into being an excellent coach. Here's my post about the signing. http://allnightwong.blogspot.com
